RALEIGH, N.C. – The Kentucky Wildcats concluded day two of their second distance-only meet of the 2025-26 season today in Raleigh, N.C. at the Raleigh Relays. Yesterday, In the final event of the day, Ed Bird broke his Kentucky school record time with a fifth-place finish and a mark of 13:38.36. He improved his previous record time by nearly a full second, which now stands at five seconds faster than any other time in Wildcat history. Today, freshman Doricah Minsari Isoe replicated that performance in the women’s 1500m event, breaking the Kentucky program record with a time of 4:10.39. Today’s race featured just her second collegiate outdoor appearance, as well as her first in the 1500m, and as the second consecutive freshman to break the record, eclipsing Janet Jepkemboi Amimo’s time of 4:13.58 last season. In the final event of the week for the Wildcats, Ann Lemirisho added a second broken record to the results for the night, breaking the UK women’s 5000m freshman record with a time of 15:59.52, coming in at No. 4 in program history.
