Arkansas Middle School Teacher Accused of Sending Student Nudes Via Snapchat

A teacher in Arkansas was arrested Friday after exchanging nude photos with a student on Snapchat, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Kaytlann Barnes, 30, was arrested in her Fort Smith home, after authorities found that she sent several nude photos and a video “purposefully exposing her sex organs” to one of her male students.The junior high school teacher was charged with sexual indecency with a child; producing, directing, or promoting a sexual performance by a child; unlawful use of a communication device; and computer child pornography.Court records obtained by KATV, indicate Barnes directed the 14-year-old boy to send nude pictures and a video of himself to her “arouse or gratify her sexual desires.”The exchange took place over the course of two nights while each was at their respected homes, court records detail.The sheriff’s office confirmed Barnes is no longer an employee of the Booneville School District.According to the Logan County jail roster Barnes was released from detention Monday on a $25,000 bail.
