BURLINGTON, Vt. – Army’s JJ Cataldo earned his second shutout in his last three starts making 22 saves in a 3-0 win over Vermont in non-conference action from Gutterson Fieldhouse Saturday night. Army’s JJ Cataldo made a couple of key saves on Vermont odd man rushes in the first period. Cataldo had seven stops. Army’s Vincent Salice opened the scoring with 57 seconds left in the second period on a breakaway. Jack Ivey forced a turnover and fed it up to Salice who had a step on the UVM defense. Salice waited for Aiden Wright to make a move and roofed it bar down from right in front. Ben Ivey doubled the Black Knights advantage at the 11:59 mark of the second period. On a three-on-three rush Ivey one-timed a feed from Nils Forselius past Wright for his seventh goal of the season.
