RED BANK, NJ: The Count Basie Center for the Arts has announced the opening of submissions for its ‘Arts Madness’ talent tournament. The program was launched last year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and was so successful that the Count Basie and sponsor Bank of America will make it an annual online event to showcase local talent. A platform to showcase their skills, Arts Madness provides young New Jersey-based artists including musicians, local bands, dancers, actors, comedians, musical theatre performers and performing artists to submit a one-minute YouTube or Vimeo. Artists must be between the ages of 13-25 and judges will review and score each video with the top 20 scoring submissions earning an entrance into the tournament. The week of March 8 will begin the “Round of 32” on the Basie’s social media channels.
