BASIC Bank launches WhatsApp banking

State-owned BASIC Bank on Monday rolled out a WhatsApp-based banking service informing of account balance and last five transactions. Prof Dr Abul Hashem, chairman of the bank’s board of directors, inaugurated the service after concluding a board meeting held virtually. Availing the service requires saving +8801713257414 in the app and sending a message for activation. For all latest news, follow The Daily Star’s Google News channel.
