(WBTV) – Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education (BOE) Chairman, Kevin Jones, has called a Special Meeting of the Rowan-Salisbury Board of Education to be held Monday, August 30, at 4:00 p.m. for a COVID-19 Update.The agenda is now published and may be accessed at https://tinyurl.com/rssboemeetings, or you may visit the school system website at https://www.rssed.org.The meeting will also be live-streamed through the following link: https://vimeo.com/rssboe.Masks will be required with no exceptions for those attending the meeting in-person.The Salisbury-Rowan NAACP has joined with a group of local clergy in urging the BOE to extend the current mask mandate in place for Rowan-Salisbury Schools.Dear Rowan-Salisbury School Board Members,The Salisbury-Rowan NAACP is urging the board members of the Rowan-Salisbury School System to take a firm stance on its decision regarding masks in the school district.We have seen from last school year that face masks work to stop the spread of COVID-19.
