Bridgeman Makes Cut at Third Major This Year Former Clemson All-American Jacob Bridgeman made the cut at the 2026 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England on Friday. The native of Inman, S.C. fired a one-under-par 69 to finish 36 holes at one-under-par 139, seven shots off the lead held by Lucas Herbert, who fired a 62 on Friday to tie the record for low score during a major championship.    Bridgeman has six birdies, 25 pars and five bogeys through 36 holes thanks to scores of 70 and 69. He stands in 38th place after the first two rounds with the 139 total. Brideman has now made the cut in three of the four major championships this year. Glover is just the third former Clemson golfer to make the cut in three of the four majors in the same year. Lucas Glover accomplished the feat four times (2010, 2011, 2019 and 2025).   Kyle Stanley did it in 2012 and 2018. No Clemson golfer has made the cut in all four major championships in the same year.
