JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Police arrested a Jonesboro woman after she was reportedly seen on Facebook Live waving a gun, a probable cause affidavit said. According to the affidavit, on Feb. 7, 2026, Jonesboro police received a tip about a fight near the 500 block of Melrose Street involving a group of women. Officers were advised that 23-year-old Adriuna Gloria Jean Springer of Jonesboro was seen on Facebook Live with a gun and hid it behind an air-conditioning unit, the affidavit said. Craighead County District Judge David Boling found probable cause Monday to charge Springer with theft by receiving a firearm valued less than $2,500 and tampering with physical evidence, both Class D felonies.(Craighead County Sheriff's Office)Officers made contact with Springer and several others in her vehicle and noted a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to the affidavit. The officers removed the women from the car and conducted a probable cause search. The department said the post falsely identifies the officer as a Green Bay police employee. Officials said the claim is not true. According to police, the same false information is circulating among other NFL fan communities, with each version claiming the officer was a member of that team’s fanbase. NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. — As Valentine’s Day approaches and people turn to online dating in search of connection, a Minnesota woman’s experience highlights the growing threat of romance scams targeting users on dating platforms. Julie Verdugt, 61, of New York Mills thought she had found a romantic connection when she met 57-year-old “Bratt Erick Smith” on Facebook dating. The profile seemed legitimate until requests for money began appearing in their conversations. “He just seemed legit, definitely fell for the charm, and his words,” Verdugt said.Warning signs emergeThe relationship progressed from warm conversations to financial requests within days. Smith initially asked Verdugt for a $200 loan, promising to pay back the money with interest. “He said well do you have $100,” Verdugt said when she declined the larger amount. Paul Benda of the American Bankers Association said urgency and secrecy are key warning signs of romance scams. “If you’re dealing with someone and they want you to keep it a secret?
