AKWESASNE, New York (WWNY) - St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police are investigating allegations that a special needs student was mistreated in the Salmon River Central School District. Lt. Ted Cook said the probe began Monday morning after photos of a wooden box began circulating on social media. The person who posted the pictures on Facebook, Chrissy Jacobs, stated that the box was built for special needs students at the St. Regis Mohawk School in Akwesasne. “This is supposed to be school for our beloved babies not a prison with a kid size ‘hole,’ she wrote. Through bumper crops, droughts, and average years in between, a group of 100,000 Australian grain farmers have formed an online community through a Facebook group which aims to share the highs and lows of farming across the country. The Harvesting the Crop group was started by South Australian farmer John Gladigau in 2013 as a place for farmers to compare crop notes and share photos, jokes and advice. John Gladigau farmed in SA's Mallee region for many years and is now Grain Producers SA chair. Local News Police said they found a man dead inside of the house WARREN, Mich. – A suspect has been taken into custody after an hours-long standoff with police in Warren on Friday. The suspect was live-streaming on Facebook in the lead-up to the surrender. Just after 5 a.m. on Dec. 12, 2025, Warren police received a call from a person who knew the suspect, claiming the suspect was inside a home in the 7000 block of Westminster Avenue and had killed a person. The caller said the suspect told them on a FaceTime call, where the caller saw a man lying on the ground covered in blood. Minutes later, the police arrive to find a man dead inside the house. The suspect was moving inside the home and refused to come to the door. For several hours, police negotiated with the suspect. The suspect livestreamed the encounter on Facebook. BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — In a Dec. 12 Facebook post, Black Mountain Brewing announced that the town’s planning director, Michelle Kennedy, sent owner John Richardson a cease-and-desist. This comes after the town admitted inspection and permitting mistakes involving the brewery’s upper deck on Monday, Dec. 8, during a town council meeting.
