Mom calls out the 'cruel standards' pregnant women face at work in viral LinkedIn post

In an eye-opening and vulnerable LinkedIn post, a woman who is pregnant with twins shares the heartbreaking reality of what the first trimester can be like—and how hard that is when you're an employee, too. Being pregnant at work isn't easy, after all. Leena Yousefi, lawyer and CEO at YLaw, shared a powerful reminder that pregnancy is a very serious health condition and should be treated as such. Currently pregnant with twins and still in her first trimester, Yousefi perfectly describes the impossible situation many pregnant employees find themselves when working while pregnant. "For the past 2 months, I have been forced to lay on the bed in my work clothes before work in the morning, unable to move, think or function," she begins. "I wake up in a constant state of chronic depression, nausea, aversions to everything, disabling migraines, a numbness to the world and lack of happiness that at times is one of the scariest things I have ever felt." In the accompanying photo to her post, Yousefi is seen lying on her bed in a state of distress. "Being pregnant with twins has been the hardest physical challenge I have ever gone through my life," she writes.…

Francisco Álvarez Impressed Mets' Aces | Metsmerized Online

Photo by James Farrance One of the reasons New York Mets top prospect Francisco Álvarez remains in the minors is his need to continue his development as a backstop. If the Mets’ aces are to be believed, he’s made tremendous strides as a receiver. On June 30, Max Scherzer made his second rehab start with Double-A Binghamton. The primary focus was on Scherzer’s rehab and just how quickly he could return to the Mets, but there was also a very important question about how the ace felt throwing to Álvarez. After all, Álvarez set the goal for himself to make the majors this season. With every homer he’s hit, there’s been a groundswell of fan support to have him called up to the majors. However, as Buck Showalter cautioned during spring training, Álvarez needed to improve behind the plate before that could be considered. According to Scherzer, it appears Álvarez made strides. Max Scherzer discusses throwing to Francisco Álvarez:"He made some adjustments along with way. He worked with me pretty well, so I'm excited to see what he can do." pic.twitter.com/Nq6ywwpwru— SNY (@SNYtv) June 30, 2022 Scherzer noted how Álvarez was familiar with the hitters and had a plan of…

Mets fans, an all new episode is here! This week Mike and I are joined once again by former Mets radio broadcaster Josh Lewin to recap the Mets unlikely series win against the Braves in Atlanta, Max Scherzer‘s impact on the mound and in the dugout, Francisco Lindor‘s stellar season so far, Sandy Alderson’s comments about the Mets need for a designated hitter, the upcoming All-Star game, Jacob deGrom‘s road back to Flushing, and more! With deGrom seemingly close to his major league return, how will the Mets look to manage their long-awaited ace (who’s also going to opt-out at the end of this season?) According to Lewin, If the two-time Cy Young award winner says he feels good down the stretch, then let him ride: “It’s going to be very tough down the stretch not to just ride the heck out of Jake if he says that he feels good. But first things first, lets see how he actually performs although I think he’ll perform just fine…I guess I’m just curious to see what it looks like in mid to late August, I’m sure (deGrom) knows that the Mets will only expect him to throw about 80 pitches or 5…
