LinkedIn Shares New Insights on the Benefits of a Combined 'Brand and Demand' Approach …

An article from Should you focus on building your brand on social, or driving direct response? Each element has its place, but according to LinkedIn, it’s branding that will deliver the best results in the long run - so long as you take an intentional, sustained content approach. As per LinkedIn: “Evidence is mounting that loading budget into performance marketing without a brand strategy to support it risks diminishing returns. Research by the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) shows the impact of demand marketing declining quickly over time, while an investment in brand keeps on giving. That’s why IPA data suggests that the optimal marketing mix gives 60% of budget to brand, compared to 40% for demand.” In other words, you should be looking to establish relationships with your social media audience over time, through a focused content plan, which reinforces your brand ethos and approach. At the same time, however, you also need to be promoting your latest products. A combined approach, factoring in the importance of each element, will help maximize your results – though it does take time to establish your brand, and that requires foresight, a strategic map to establish clear expectations, and investment, especially early…

Hilarious LinkedIn mistake makes it look like LA Angels are desperate – Halo Hangout

LA Angels. (Photo by Douglas P. DeFelice/Getty Images) The LA Angels have been absolutely ravaged by injuries this season. Our franchise player has been out since Mid-May, expensive Justin Upton got hurt and hasn’t been any good since, Max Stassi has been on the IL for a few different stints, Dexter Fowler got hurt right away, 2021 All-Star Jared Walsh missed time, No. 2 starter Alex Cobb hasn’t played since July 23rd, No. 3 starter Patrick Sandoval is out for the year, and $210 million man Anthony Rendon has hardly played at all this year. No team other than the New York Yankees has had the type of injuries we have this season. Even then, they at least didn’t have the best baseball player of the last decade out almost all year.It appears this is really getting to the Angels however, as it looks like they’ll take anyone nowadays. Are the LA Angels so depleted by injuries that they’re going after used car salesmen these days?If true, the LA Angels have reached an all-time low.In all seriousness, though, it appears that this is what happened:(it would appear that LinkedIn messed up a listing from a company called Angels Auto Mart in Ormond…

Letter to the editor: Alicia Crank not my choice for Edmonds City Council

Editor: I will not be supporting Alicia Crank for Edmonds City Council. I am a Hispanic woman and wanted to support her two years ago when she ran for Edmonds City Council. But for the same reasons I did not support her then, I cannot support her now. According to Alicia’s website and her campaign mailer, she is currently serving on six boards, commissions, and committees. While this may look great on her resume or LinkedIn profile, it does not describe her role or work products produced as part of serving on any of these organizations. Simply being an “attendee” doesn’t cut it. Alicia wrote an article, found in LinkedIn, when she served as Corporate Relations Officer for the YMCA Seattle/King/Snohomish, May 27, 2014. In this article she discourages folks from being on multiple boards. Alicia writes, “There is nothing wrong with being on more than one but if your (you’re) replicating non-participation, it’s not good for anyone. A few years ago I became a ‘hot commodity’ and ended up being on five non-profit boards. A few months in, I realized that I could not give as much as I wanted to or as much as they deserved. I made…
