Watch Five Questions for YouTube Star Mark Rober – Bloomberg
October 30, 2026
BENGALURU: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has come to the defence of WhatsApp over its recent policy update. He said when it comes to protecting people’s messages, WhatsApp is “clearly superior”. Zuckerberg even took a dig at rivals, naming Apple’s iMessage. During the company’s earnings call, he said WhatsApp has a lot of competitors who have made “misleading claims” about their privacy standards. “iMessage stores non-end-to-end encrypted backups of your messages by default unless you disable iCloud. So, Apple and governments have the ability to access most people’s messages. So, when it comes to what matters most — protecting people’s messages — I think that WhatsApp is clearly superior,” he said. The Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been under fire in India, its largest market with 400 million users, since its proposed privacy changes. Alternative messaging platforms like Signal, built by Brian Acton who’d previously co-founded WhatsApp, have gained new users due to this. WhatsApp has postponed implementing the changes to mid-May after the backlash. FacebookTwitterLinkedinEMail

But it only works if you're a female streamer. Amouranth was hanging out with Devin Nash during an IRL stream, answering questions from her fellow Twitch partner. This led to some helpful hints for female Twitch streamers looking to boost their views with little or no effort on their end. She called it the new "Twitch meta." Amouranth explains how female streamers can get more views on Twitch Nash asked Amouranth why she streams in her room. She replied that it's simply for the better lighting. Oh, and because there's a bed behind her. According to Amouranth, she can lay on the bed when she gets low on views. That's the "new meta on Twitch for girls," she added while shopping around. Devin then asked if Amouranth used that tactic herself. “Occasionally," Amouranth responded. "Lately, I haven’t had to because my views have been pretty okay.” The conversation turned back to shopping soon after that moment, but it was definitely conversation viewers couldn't forget. It seemed as though Amouranth was joking, potentially mocking female streamers who rely on attracting…

However, regardless of when the message was received, Snapchat will say it was opened just now. As a result, users don’t know when messages were actually received. What causes Snapchat to say opened just now? Read on to learn more. Why does Snapchat say Snaps were opened just now? It’s not entirely clear why Snapchat says messages were opened just now. However, this does seem to be a new phenomenon, appearing sometime in the last few months. No matter when the Snap photo, video, or chat message was sent, Snapchat will say it was opened just now. While some cases of this happening may just be coincidence, it seems to be happening to more and more users. In nearly all cases, Snapchat says messages were opened just now whenever the app itself is opened. After that — once you see that it was opened — it will remain in the opened state afterward. And while you’ll be able to check when the snap was sent, you won’t be able to tell when it was actually viewed. That’s the main problem:…

And so do you know who your child is messaging direct messaging, having conversations with?” said Voice for Children, Executive Director, Nyse Holloman. Bryan E. Ellinger, now 31, of Shakopee, was charged Wednesday with first- and third-degree criminal sexual conduct in connection with the assaults, which began in the fall of 2013 and ended early the next year. Ellinger, who has two other sex-related criminal cases on his record, was charged by warrant and has yet to be arrested. His girlfriend said that he would not be answering questions about the allegations. County Attorney Ron Hocevar said he's confident that "we will have him pretty quick." The criminal complaint raised the possibility that Ellinger assaulted other girls who worked at the Trail of Terror. Hocevar said he's hoping that if there are other victims and "they see the ice has been broken, they'll come forward." Ellinger has at least two other sexual assault convictions in Minnesota, according to court records. He was charged in Scott County as a juvenile in 2007 and found guilty of third-degree sexual assault for having sex with someone more than two years younger than him and with indecent exposure. In…
