A Sac County man has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison following his conviction in Sac County District Court for soliciting explicit images from a minor victim via Snapchat. According to court records, 42-year-old Nick Lee Pierce of Odebolt pled guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, a class C felony, and his sentence was handed down yesterday (Monday) by a district court judge. The charge stems from a Sac County Sheriff’s Office investigation that found Pierce had sent pictures of his genitals to the juvenile victim through the social media app on April 8 and coerced the victim to send pictures back in exchange for money. Pierce was immediately transferred to the custody of the Iowa Department of Corrections to begin serving his sentence. In addition to the prison term, Pierce will be required to register with the Iowa Sex Offender Registry for the remainder of his life. Recommended Posts

The Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting an investigation involving the examination of a cell phone and Snapchat account associated with the individual accused of the tragic killing of a one-year-old child.According to court records, search warrants have been filed to access Jacob Robison’s iPhone and Snapchat account, as he faces charges of murder. Deputies announced Robison’s arrest on July 14th.WCSO requested Snapchat’s cooperation to acquire account-related data belonging to Jacob Robison. The requested information includes snaps, conversations, GPS location details, photos, and videos.Additionally, investigators have sought access to search the iPhone and Snapchat account linked to the child’s mother, Skyler Crawford. Crawford has not been charged in relation to the case. During the time of the tragic incident, Crawford identified Robison as her live-in boyfriend.Medical professionals pronounced the child dead in the Emergency Room at TMH, and described the injuries as severe, leading them to suspect child abuse as the cause of death.According to the affidavit to search Robison’s cell phone, Robison regularly watched the children during the evenings. GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - A Grand Island man is facing human trafficking of a minor and enticement charges out of Hall County.Kevin Martinez Ramirez, 23, has seven counts against him. Those are two counts of felony human trafficking of a minor, felony use of an electronic communication device to commit sexual assault, two counts of felony enticement of electronic communication device and two misdemeanor charges of distributing obscene literature and material to a minor.According to the arrest affidavit, the investigation started when Martinez Ramirez reportedly purchased alcohol for a 15-year-old girl in Kearney. Police say that Martinez Ramirez’s probation officer was notified, searching his phone and finding what she believed was child pornography.The phone was turned over to police. GIPD said in the affidavit that even though his phone was seized, he reportedly purchased a new one and created new Snapchat accounts and continued to contact underage girls both on the phone and in person while the investigation was ongoing.Police have identified four victims, who were between the ages of 14 and 17.The affidavit said in May 2023 Martinez Ramirez contacted a 17-year-old girl.
