WWE has shared, liked and posted its way into a social media award WWE Social Media While the jury's still out on WWE's in-ring product displayed on RAW, SmackDown, NXT 2.0 and Main Event (yes, Main Event is still a thing) WWE is getting plaudits for something it has done outside the ring and off camera - its social media usage. That's because Vince McMahon's company has won the Shorty Audience Honor, and on top of that, they have been nominated for a further seven categories in the 14th Annual Shorty Awards, which are due to take place later this year. Some of the categories that WWE has been honored for include the 'Industry - Best in Sports', 'Overall Presence - Facebook', 'Overall Presence Snapchat' (yes, Snapchat is still a thing), 'Overall Presence - Twitter', Overall Presence - YouTube'. The company has also received two nominations for the use of the ThunderDome, a series of screens that would show the audience's faces as they watched from home, creating a virtual impression of a live crowd.
