A 22-year-old British man has been arrested in Spain at the request of the United States after the Justice Department filed multiple charges alleging he was involved in the hacking of several high-profile figures' social media accounts last year, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The feds say Joseph O'Conner not only took part in the scheme that affected 130 Twitter users, he also took over victims' TikTok and Snapchat accounts, according to a press release announcing his arrest.TWITTER BITCOIN HACK: LIST OF AFFECTED ACCOUNTS INCLUDES ELON MUSK, BILL GATESO'Conner faces 10 federal charges, including two counts each of cyberstalking, intentionally accessing a computer without authorization and obtaining information from a protected computer, and making extortive communications. In addition to business titans such as Bezos and Musk, scammers also hit politicians including former President Barack Obama and then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, along with company accounts for Apple, Coinbase and other firms linked to cryptocurrencies. A mum who crashed at 88mph on a motorway slip road while high on cannabis and using Snapchat at the wheel has been spared jail as it would ‘impact’ her children. Crystal Ward, 27, had already been banned from driving but decided to ignore it and travel along the M60 near Sale, Greater Manchester. She made a series of eight second video clips from her VW Golf, one of which shows a passenger pleading ‘Babe!’ before the crash, which led to her hitting a barrier with such force that the engine was hurled out of the vehicle into the main carriageway where it was hit by another car. Ward, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was also ejected from the vehicle and suffered spinal injuries while Hamzah Ahmed, the father of one of her children, was trapped in the wreckage. Tests showed she was four times the drug driving limit for cannabis. She was serving a 40 month ban for a previous drink and drug driving conviction. Police recovered the video, taken at around 1.45am on June 11 last year, when officers examined her phone. Manny ‘MUA’ Gutierrez is taking to Snapchat to help young LGBTQ+ people come out of the closet in a new series executive produced by the actress Chloë Grace Moretz. A total of six weekly episodes will spotlight six different stories, with the makeup artist and YouTube star — who counts 4.8 million subscribers and 2.5 million monthly views — providing moral support and counsel. The series was first announced at Snapchat’s NewFronts presentation in May, and premiers on Sunday. “Coming out for me wasn’t super easy, so if I can in any way, shape, or form help other people come out, that would be amazing,” the 30-year-old — who was raised Mormon and initially struggled to gain acceptance from his family after coming out as gay — tells People. “The cool thing about getting to be able to do this with Snapchat is their audience is so predominantly young, and they’ll be able to see people like themselves coming out and having great experiences with it.” At the conclusion of each episode — which is produced by 44 Blue Productions — The Trevor Project will furnish coming out resources via swipe-ups. Ivan “Gabe” Cardona-Davila was booked Wednesday into the Cache County Jail, where he is being temporarily held without bail. According to arresting documents, Logan City police officers began investigating Cardona after receiving a tip from SnapChat, claiming he had been sharing child pornography with other individuals. The social media account and computer IP address were traced to Cardona’s Logan apartment, near 100 N. 500 East. Detectives were provided with 47 files allegedly shared by Cardona. Many of the images were of young girls, between 5 and 12-years-old. The children were in various stages of undress. On July 14, police served a warrant to Cardona’s apartment, seizing all electronic devices. A forensic scan of his cell phone showed over 16,000 pornographic images, most were of children. There was also evidence that he had recently downloaded a program to hide his internet identity. Detectives report that some of the files on Cardona’s phone were of children being raped by adult men. NORRISTOWN — A former substitute teacher at North Montco Technical Career Center in Towamencin was sentenced to some time behind bars and a lengthy probationary period for sexting with female students through the social media application Snapchat.Stephen Andrew Catania, 30, of the first block of North School Lane in Souderton, was sentenced in Montgomery County Court to 11½ to 23 months in the county jail, to be followed by five years’ probation in connection with incidents that occurred in 2019. The sentence means Catania will be under court supervision for about seven years.The sentence was imposed by Judge Thomas C. Branca, who during a nonjury trial earlier this year convicted Catania of charges of criminal solicitation for child pornography and corruption of minors. The judge acquitted Catania of charges of unlawful contact with a minor and harassment.Assistant District Attorney Caroline Goldstein sought jail time against Catania.“He was a teacher and these students looked up to him. Snapchat is one of the most popular social networks of all time. When you think about it, the app is pretty unique, and that is one of the reasons why it became so popular. Snapchat introduced an exciting concept many years ago when it was launched – Disappearing messages. Though the concept wasn’t particularly new, the app made it famous. Snapchat gained track rapidly as the go-to messenger app where you could send questionable photos, have more or less embarrassing chats that you wouldn’t want another person to see for another time. However, there is one detail that is known by few people – Snapchat messages never wholly disappear. Indeed, you can’t see them anymore, but they are all stored somewhere in a database. Football Coach Tim Wooer sent a letter to parents and also posted on Facebook this weekend responding to the incident. His letter, which explains what occurred and how the school is responding, is reposted here in its entirety: "Kingsley Football Family: Today I felt the need to address a significant and horrific error in judgement by at least one of our varsity players. Each year our varsity players create their own 'group chat,' which I believe for the most part to be an excellent way to communicate, motivate, and build leadership without the prodding of coaches. A VIDEO clip of a penis was sent from a TikTok star’s Snapchat to a horrified 16-year-old girl. It came from the account of J2Hundred, 19, who has 1.3million followers on TikTok.  2TikTok star J2Hundred has denied sending the explicit image to the horrified 16-year-old girl He made headlines this week for filming himself sneaking into Wembley Stadium for the Euros final. At least one sexual message was sent to the girl from the Snapchat account. J2Hundred frequently posts videos on the platform TikTok which gain hundreds of thousands of viewers, often of him performing pranks or miming to music.  The girl told The Sun on Sunday: “I was friends with a J2Hundred on Snapchat for a while. The person asked me for my age and a photo. I told him I was 16. “I knew J2Hundred was famous. I told my friends. He showed me photos of his face on Snapchat. “The account said show me your p****. SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – U.S. District Court Judge Francisco A. Besosa sentenced Marcos Rivera-Ramos to 156 months (13 years) in prison and 10 years of supervised release for sexual enticement of a 14-year old girl, announced W. Stephen Muldrow, United States Attorney for the District of Puerto Rico. According to the facts admitted during the change of plea hearing, the parents of the female minor reported to the FBI that their daughter received at least one image of an adult male’s penis on her Apple iPhone through the Snapchat application. The victim told her parents the image was sent to her by Rivera-Ramos, an usher at their church. The defendant had known the victim for approximately four years. They began communicating in a group chat of people from church, but later switched to communicating privately with each other via WhatsApp. Over the last year when they were communicating on WhatsApp, the conversation turned sexual. Defendant Rivera-Ramos asked the 14-year-old girl to send him sexually explicit images and videos of herself. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was in charge of the investigation.  Assistant United States Attorney Ginette Milanes prosecuted the case. # # #
