Snapchat introduces new features for Snap Maps – Times of India

NEW DELHI: Photo-messaging app Snapchat has rolled out a new feature called Layers. It is a specialised experience available from select partners and from Snap which is personalised for Snapchatters. The messaging app is now offering two Snap-owned experiences — Memories and Explore in the Layers feature. As the year comes to an end, the photo messaging app is putting Snapchats Memories on their Snap Map. With this feature, users are allowing them to revisit their favourite moments, pegged to the places where they happened. It is interesting to note that this Layer feature will only show your own Memories and you cannot see your friend’s Memories on t your Snap Map. On the other hand, the Explore feature is a reimagined viewpoint on Snap Map that builds on the signature Heat Map.Explore makes it easier for the community to experience other places photos and videos submitted from Snapchatters around the world.
