Greenwich Police received information that a local man was allegedly selling Ecstasy pills to Greenwich teens as young as 14 and that others may have suffered medical emergencies requiring hospitalization. Police identified Farhaan Rajput of Brookside Drive as the suspected dealer. They said they received information that Rajput was allegedly using SnapChat to make deals. On March 4th, Police negotiated a deal with Rajput via SnapChat and arrested him when he arrived to complete the transaction. Rajput was found to be in possession of the five pills that had been negotiated for. A search warrant was then executed at Rajput’s residence, which resulted in the seizure of 22 more suspected Ecstasy pills and 7 suspected THC cartridges. He was charged with Attempt at Sale of Controlled Substance to a Minor, Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Less than a Half Ounce of Marijuana. He was also charged with Risk of Injury to a Child and Distribution of Controlled Substance to Person under 18 for an incident on March 2 Rajput’s bond was set at $150,000. A Baltimore County man was federally indicted Wednesday for his alleged participation in the U.S. Capitol insurrection. Elias Costianes, 42, of Nottingham faces three charges, including obstructing an official proceeding, entering and remaining on a restricted building or grounds with the intent to impede or disrupt government businesses, and willfully engaging in disorderly conduct in any of the Capitol buildings with the intent to impede or disturb. According to the statement of facts, a member of the public submitted a tip to the FBI tip website and identified Costianes through his Snapchat account and said he posted two videos of his alleged participation in the insurrection. The individual requested to have their identity protected. Investigators analyzed the Snapchat videos, Costianes’ driver’s license photo, as well as images captured on U.S. Senate cameras.
