by Brandon Jarvis Republican Lt. Gov. nominee Winsome Earle-Sears did not directly answer a question from Radio IQ when asked if the full statewide ticket will appear together on the campaign trail. This question arises following a controversy surrounding Republican lieutenant governor nominee John Reid. “Actually, as you know, we are all running our campaigns,” Earle-Sears told Radio IQ. Gov. Glenn Youngkin asked Reid to step down in April after a Tumblr account with naked men was found that shares the same username as Reid’s personal Instagram account. Reid, the first openly gay statewide nominee, denies that the Tumblr account is his and has remained in the race. Earle-Sears has only commented on the controversy once before this, saying, “It is his race, and his decision alone to move forward. We all have our own race to run.” Attorney General Jason Miyares told Virginia Scope last month that “sure” he would campaign with Reid. So far, however, the ticket has not appeared together, as Reid continues to run his own race. The first two series were direct adaptations of The Lives of the Mayfair Witches (“ Mayfair Witches “) and The Vampire Chronicles (“Interview with the Vampire“). Now, AMC is set to explore a new story, “Anne Rice’s Talamasca.” The new series won’t be based on a specific novel. Instead, they’re diving deep into the mysterious secret organization that connects Rice’s vampire and witch worlds: the Talamasca. AMC shared exciting news at the recent ATX TV Festival, revealing first-look photos of “Anne Rice’s Talamasca” and announcing new cast members. A Killer Cast John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty, executive producers of “Talamasca,” unveiled the new characters and cast updates. Joining the previously announced Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers is Celine Buckens (Showtrial), who will round out the series’ regular cast. AI music company Suno has debuted a number of new features, allowing users to have more control over the creation and customization of their songs. The company has been known as a powerful generative tool that can make realistic songs at the click of the button with just a few simple prompts, but now, it is embracing more of a collaborative approach between the user and its AI technology. Now, users can upload up to eight minutes of audio, whether its a hummed melody or a mostly-completed track, and then use Suno to remix it or expand it. Through their new Song Editor features, users can replace lyrics and reimagine sections of songs, as desired. Offering what it calls the “creative slider” users can rework a song into a new genre by using simple toggles that can up a song’s “weirdness” “style strength” or “audio strength.” The company has also integrated a stem extraction tool to split a Suno-generated song into 12 clean stems, which can then be exported to a user’s preferred DAW. Dr. Chelsey Green is the first Black woman elected as the Recording Academy’s chair of the board of trustees. She succeeds Tammy Hurt, who has served in that role since 2021. This marks the first time in Recording Academy history that two women have served back-to-back in the top post. Dr. Green, 39, is also the youngest person ever elected chair. Dr. Green, who was vice chair last term under Hurt, was selected at this year’s annual board of trustees meeting. Her term officially began on Sunday (June 1). At the same time, Evan Bogart was elected vice chair; Jennifer Blakeman was elected secretary/treasurer; and Hurt was elected chair emeritus. In Academy history, just two other women (besides Hurt and Green) have served as chair. Leslie Ann Jones was chairwoman (the title at the time) from 1999-2001.
