The STL claims the tactics led to an abnormally high number of late arrivals on Nov. 18, creating a prejudice for its ridership. The transit authority says it recorded slowdowns of service that created 250 delays on various bus routes. A strike day planned by the drivers’ union for Nov. 15 was cancelled, but two other strike days are planned for Nov. 26 and Nov. 27. There will be rush hour and late night service. Contract talks between the STL and the drivers are stalled over salaries, schedules and the future of certain bus routes deemed not to have sufficient demand to be maintained. While exiting the road, the vehicle, which is the only one involved in the accident, rolled over and hit two poles, said Sergeant Hélène St-Pierre, a spokesperson for the SQ. The driver died of his injuries. A passenger was taken to a hospital for serious injuries, but his life is not in danger, police said. “At first glance, one might think that the speed could be involved in this event,” said Sergeant St-Pierre. Hulu will increase the price of its live TV subscriptions by $5 a month and add Disney+ and ESPN+ to the subscription tier, the streamer informed subscribers on Friday morning. Starting on Dec. 21, all Hulu subscriptions with live TV will include Disney+ and ESPN+ and will cost $69.99 per month for the ad-supported offering and $75.99 per month for the ad-free version. The price increase essentially drops the price of what the Disney bundle with Hulu and live TV costs, as the bundle with the ad-supported live TV offering is currently $72.99 a month while the ad-free offering is $78.99 a month. Current Disney bundle subscribers who have Hulu + Live TV will also see their package prices decrease to match the new price changes, but non-bundled Hulu + Live TV subscribers will no longer have the option to opt out of the bundle. While Disney has not disclosed the number of its subscribers who choose the bundle, the company reported earlier this month that Hulu has 43.8 million subscribers, 4 million of which were for the live TV subscription offering. Jacob Powell of Lanark and Zachary Tripp of Arnprior, both aged 23, were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision reported at about 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, the Ontario Provincial Police’s Renfrew detachment said in a release Thursday. The OPP said the victims were travelling south when their vehicle collided with a northbound vehicle. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Renfrew OPP with the help of the force’s traffic collision investigators. The driver of the northbound vehicle was in stable condition in hospital, police said.
