The new Gemini-based Google Translate can be hacked with simple words – The Decoder

Google Translate, now powered by Gemini, is vulnerable to prompt injection attacks, a direct consequence of Google switching the service to Gemini models in late 2025. Users can bypass the translation function entirely by embedding natural language instructions that speak directly to the underlying language model. The trick was first discovered by a Tumblr user (via LessWrong). It works by entering a question in a foreign language like Chinese, then adding an English meta-instruction below it. Instead of translating the text, Google Translate answers the question. A prompt injection in Google Translate causes the tool to answer a question about Beijing in 1989 instead of translating it. | Image: via Tumblr LLM jailbreaker "Pliny the Liberator" showed on X that the exploit goes well beyond harmless questions. Using the same technique, they got Google Translate to produce dangerous content, including instructions for making drugs and malware. Using prompt injection, Google Translate was tricked into providing instructions for making methamphetamine instead of translating the input. | Image: via X Google switched Google Translate to Gemini models in December 2025. The exact model powering the service isn't publicly known. The system itself claims to use Gemini 1.5 Pro, but that isn't reliable

Movie Review: Onlyfangs (2025) – HorrorFuel.com

Dig this sinister synopsis my cats n’ creeps: Wes (Drew Marvick, Pool Party Massacre ), an amateur monster huntin’ type, actually goes against the grain and helps a group of comely vampire vixens to create a website where their prey becomes their pay… but their fang bangin’ ways can only go on static-free for so long… Now as you may guess, my arcane ass was all in for that… until I saw this fright flick runs nearly two hours… Well, Directors Angelica De Alba and Paul Ragsdale (whom also wrote the picture)… who brought us 2023’s Murdercise (which shares many cast members with this film)… proved my clock-based attention deficit fears were unfounded! Over those 2 hours we get blood, boobs, and a definitely fucked-up sequence or two as you’d expect… but there’s also plenty of wit, heart, and pointed satire at today’s trendy influencer-driven money-making opportunities… all of which moves at a brisk pace and ensures that Only f angs never over-stays it’s wicked welcome! Add in an extremely game and personable cast, and some top-shelf cinematography courtesy of Dan Zampa (also of the aforementioned Murdercise ), and you have a horror comedy that’s hard to resist! Fang-filled, freaky

Cobb SCLC responds to racist video posted by Trump

Cobb SCLC submitted the following statement on the racist video posted (then reportedly deleted) overnight on Truth Social by Donald Trump, depicting the Obamas as apes: Statement on the Preservation of Human Dignity and the Rejection of Racial Dehumanization AUSTELL, GA — The Cobb County Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) today issued a formal statement condemning the circulation of imagery that dehumanizes former First Lady Michelle Obama and former President Barack Obama through racially charged caricature and comparison to primates. “These portrayals are not satire,” said Dr. Sherman Wesley Scott, President and Chairman of the Cobb County SCLC. “They echo a painful and well-documented history of racist imagery historically used to degrade and dehumanize Black people in America and across the world.” The organization emphasized that such imagery harms not only the individuals depicted but also undermines the moral conscience of the broader community and the ongoing pursuit of justice and reconciliation. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. reminded the nation in 1963, “The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.” The Cobb County SCLC affirmed that this moment requires moral clarity and principled leadership rather than

Director Jeremiah Kipp Talks ‘The Mortuary Assistant’ in Our Interview – HorrorFuel.com

Jeremiah Kipp , you may know him as the director of films like Slapface, Black Wake, or The Avant-Gardner. He’s also behind the soon-to-be-released adaptation of the game “The Mortuary Assistant.” And take it for me, the buzz is real. I had the pleasure of watching it and talking with the talented director about his highly anticipated film, and I’d like to share that interview with you now. You can find it below. The movie centers on Rebecca Owens, a mortuary science graduate who takes a night job at River Fields Mortuary. What begins as a routine job soon turns sinister as she faces terrifying supernatural forces. After talking with Kipp, I can tell you this: his dedication to capturing the vibes and lore of the hit game is impressive, as is his excitement. And rightfully so. Some scenes made me recoil, which rarely happens (a very good thing). It also left me considering my options for burial. After you watch it, you’ll understand. Don’t worry, you will find no spoilers here. One of the great things about The Mortuary Assistant is that it works as both an adaptation and as a standalone film. You don’t have to be a

Is 2026 the new 2016? – The Campus

A decade has passed since the mannequin challenge went viral and some of us Gen Zers have never felt so old. Why are we missing the Tumblr aesthetic? The 2016 vibes are back in our hearts — and on our Instagram feeds! If you haven’t seen the Snapchat’s flower crown filter fill your social media feed once again, I will fill you in with some background: at the start of 2026, a trend of posting old photos from 2016 went viral on Instagram and TikTok, with people longing for that 2016 vibe — yes, this is already my third time saying “vibe,” sorry I can’t help it. 2016 is stuck in my brain and “vibe” became my go-to word again. Oops! Jokes aside, the word “vibe” was in fact used a lot by the younger generation in 2016 as a way of determining an aesthetic that you could see in photos and the way people dressed and behaved. “Tumblr girls” was a term that originated to reference a fashion style popularized by girls that posted in the Tumblr app, which was a social media platform that became really popular in 2016. Those girls were the coolest and were the vibe
