Assassin’s Creed Shadows drops onto Nintendo Switch next week, and Ubisoft has posted a blog about the technical details of the port. Ubisoft’s previous release on Switch 2, Star Wars Outlaws, is a technical showpiece for the system, and Shadows will be no different. According to the team, the game will target 30fps in both handheld and docked modes. While Switch 2 can support ray-traced global illumination, the team has opted not to use it and has instead used solid baked global illumination for RAM reasons. One feature Switch 2 does have, and the team is using, is DLSS to ensure the game looks as sharp as possible, even while rendering underneath it all at a lower resolution. Handheld mode will also support VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) to keep things as smooth as possible. The Switch 2 version also supports touch-screen navigation for maps, menus and more. Ongoing optimisation patches will continue after launch, and mouse and keyboard support is also planned. Not sure if that means mouse support with the Joy-Con or an actual mouse. Assassin’s Creed Shadows hits Switch 2 on December 2.

Firefighters from Askern station attended a premise on Wellingtonia Drive, Campsall, Doncaster at 8:15pm. The accidental fire involved a chip pan. Crews left the scene at 8:35pm. A vehicle was deliberately set on fire at 8:55pm on Delves Road, Sheffield. Firefighters from Birley station attended the incident. They left at 10:25pm. Three fire crews from Adwick, Edlington and Doncaster stations attended an accidental fire involving an HGV at 9pm on the A1 junction 38 northbound at 9pm. The crews came away at 11:10pm. Rivelin firefighters were called out to a deliberate vehicle fire at 11:30pm on Redmires Road, Sheffield. The crew left the scene at 12:45am.

Trending on Billboard Every two weeks, users on the AI music platform Suno create as much music as what is currently available on Spotify, according to Suno investor presentation materials obtained by Billboard. Those users are primarily male, aged 25-34, and spend an average of 20 minutes creating the some 7 million songs produced on the platform daily, according to the documents and additional sources.  Related Suno sees a future where, as it expands its offerings, creators and listeners will not need to leave the app to create, stream or share their music socially. The goal is listed as creating “high-value, high-intent music discovery” and “artist-fan interaction.”  Now, Suno might have the money to fulfill that ambitious vision. Suno announced last week that it had raised $250 million in a C fundraise, led by Menlo Ventures, with additional investors including NVIDIA’s venture capital arm NVentures and Hallwood Media. Before becoming a standalone title,  Total Chaos was an award-winning mod of  Doom II by Sam Prebble. Now, with the shadow launch by Apogee Entertainment and Infogrames, players can experience what horrors await. Total Chaos  puts players in the shoes of a Coast Guard (sic) that ended up on the island of Fort Oasis after trying to respond to an emergency call on the radio. Now stuck on the island, you must explore and survive the horrors within. Now. Onto the game itself. When it comes to the controls, they’re alright. I feel like there’s a “slide” look to the movement when you’re walking and then stop, but continue moving forward a few inches after you stop; it’s kind of annoying. I feel like this was not truly optimized for controllers. When it comes to sound, you’ll need to lower it A LOT; it’s way too loud and could have benefited from better mixing. I really do not like the first-person view, or how it’s done; it’s in a weird fisheye view. Holy shit… Ngai Choi Lam’s The Cat … Honestly that should (and could) be the entirety of this review, but you need to hear more, believe me… Author/paranormal scholar Wisely (Waise Lee, Bullet in the Head ) writes novels based in part on his exploits… exploits that include an absolute hum-fucking-dinger that includes his pal Li Tung (Lawrence Lau, Bullet in the Head ) and his loud-ass neighbors that include a strange girl (Gloria Yip, thankfully not from Bullet in the Head , but instead from another of director Ngai Choi Lam’s features… the absolutely psychotic and spectacular prison splatter-film; Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky ) and her black cat, as well as an strange man (Lau Siu-Ming) all of whom move out the next day leaving behind an apartment filled with crumpled newspaper and one set of cat intestines. Meanwhile… In the sewers, a sentient puddle of what looks to be puke crawls inside the corpse of a transient, re-animates the damn thing, and strolls straight up to a museum where Li-Tung’s neighbors are stealing an artifact. Once there, the corpse expels the creature, now evolved into a cross between a mushroom and the alien from John Carpenter’s The
