Those virtual tips are turning into significant revenue for creators. TikTok turns over half of those proceeds—calculated after paying Apple and Google app store fees and payments fees—to creators. TikTok’s rivals, however, are even more generous with the tip shares. As our chart above shows, creators on Twitch, X, Instagram and Facebook can take home 71% to 100% of livestreaming tips. 

Since its launch, the live streaming platform Kick has been seen as a direct competitor to Twitch and even as a possible company to go bankrupt on the Amazon platform, which has attracted its major streamers thanks to multimillion-dollar contracts. But according to Spanish content creator IlloJuan, the reality is different, commenting that Kick “doesn’t seem dead, he’s dead.” As we said before, Kick entered the live streaming market, making it clear that it has a lot of money to attract big name streamers. The Australian company has offered a million dollar exclusive contracts to figures such as xQc and Amouranth, announcing their partnership with the platform. But these multimillion-dollar contracts have been linked to major controversies, because betting behavior is often raised, because Kick is supported by the founders of Stake, an online casino company. We're heading to space tonight in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Tonight, on the Stevetendo show, we’re diving back into our Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door playthrough. I have had a great time with this playthrough but we’re getting to the part of the story that I don’t know as well as the earlier sections of the game. That being said, it is the part of the journey that I remember being really hard so we’ll have to be on guard to beat it. During the last Paper Mario episode, we completed all the bulletin board tasks in Rogueport, complete with plenty of backtracking. Hopefully, in the Nintendo Switch remake, there will be an easier way to travel between certain locations, like Glitzville. We found out that Princess Peach is being held captive on the Moon so we should be making our way there tonight as well as starting the final chapter.
