Before Insomniac created its stellar Spider-Man trilogy and before Treyarch redefined web-swinging with the 2004 Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in game, the folks at Neversoft gave Spidey fans the best example of wall-crawling video game excellence with its 2000 take on the character. Spider-Man sees the friendly neighborhood hero battle a star-studded gallery of villains in an original adventure chock full of comic book goodness. As Spider-Man's first fully 3D action-adventure game, it laid the groundwork for mechanics such as web-swinging, a variety of web shooter attacks, and wall-crawling stealth gameplay. "Nintendo remains a valued partner" by Liam Doolan 2 hours ago Twitch has revealed it will be "ending support" for the Twitch app on Nintendo Switch on 31st January 2024. As of 6th November 2023 (aka next week), new users will also no longer be able to download the Twitch app from Nintendo's Switch eShop. Again, this will then follow with existing users losing access early next year. Twitch shared the following statement with The Verge about its app removal from the eShop: "We recently made the difficult decision to remove the Twitch app from the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo remains a valued partner and we appreciate all of the support the Switch community has provided to Twitch and our streamers.” The Twitch App was originally launched on the Switch eShop back in November 2021 and allowed users to watch livestream gaming videos, esports, and IRL broadcasts, just the website and phone app. Unfortunately, it also resulted in some complaints. The Overwatch World Cup is in full swing, and Blizzard is again teaming up with Twitch to let players get their hands on new cosmetics just for watching the event. With the competition running through Sunday, Nov. 5, there are a ton of World Cup-themed skins and sprays for players to earn, but there’s not a lot of time for you to get your hands on them. In just two or three days, players will need to watch more than half a day’s worth of esports to win some of these rewards, so we’re going to let you know how to maximize your drop winnings. Overwatch World Cup Twitch Drops have multiple different phases as the tournament progresses, and the current set of drops will only last Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 31 to Nov. 1. Gamers need to watch a streaming channel with drops enabled to get credit toward Overwatch World Cup reward drops, but you’ll be able to tell if they have drops enabled by looking at their stream title and tags.
