New game modes, champions, skins, assorted cosmetics, and more await League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra fans this summer. As Riot Games has grown its library of games beyond League of Legends, so too has the desire for more events featuring the likes of Teamfight Tactics and Legends of Runeterra alongside LoL. Riot seems to be moving forward with that demand and has announced a new summer event to celebrate many of its games set in the League of Legends universe. Soul Fighter is a cross-game event that will feature in-game promotions for League, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and more alongside an in-person competition hosted on Twitch this coming July. Riot Games announced the Soul Fighter event via a new trailer on the League of Legends YouTube channel on June 26, 2023. On July 20, 2023, Riot Games will launch a series of cross-game promotions for League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and the mobile League of Legends: Wild Rift that will feature new game modes, in-client narrative experiences, champions, skins, assorted cosmetics, and more for each of these games. Street Fighter 6 has been crushing the competition on Twitch, currently standing as the game with the most viewers by a landslide, after a for-fun tourney brought in thousands of watchers. The latest Street Fighter game has been making waves on the largest streaming site after a tourney organized by Crazy Raccoon, also known as the CR Cup, gained over 300 thousand viewers at once. This meant that the Street Fighter 6 section on Twitch peaked at around 313 thousand viewers, making it the most-watched game on the site, and the second most-watched category. Many prominent Twitch streamers have already made the switch to the Stake-funded platform. Here's everything you need to know.   Many educators in the streaming space say that it’s nearly impossible to grow an audience through streaming alone. You'll often hear them mention that you need to post on platforms with discoverability, like YouTube and TikTok. We’ll discuss five ideas for how you can do that today. 1. Start by Pre-Purposing Before you think about cutting down stream highlights for other platforms, start by planning a stream that has structure. A structure gives the stream itself momentum and makes editing it down into a cohesive video that much easier. Try planning your streams with a goal or challenge, a unique premise, or something that would otherwise allow you to make one or more structured, cohesive videos with an arc of beginning, middle, and end. The structure doesn’t even need to be super creative, but any plan is better than no plan. Also, make sure to locally record while streaming for higher video quality when editing. This is especially important if you downscale your stream to better optimize your broadcast under Twitch's 6,000 kbps bitrate limit. 2. Create Long-Form YouTube Videos

Twitch is introducing another revenue-generating chat tool for streamers. Its current creator monetization offerings include channel subscriptions (which start at $4.99 a month), donations/gifts (where viewers can give streamers straight-up cash), and cheering, which is done with an onsite currency called Bits. Now, Twitch is adding “Hype Chat,” where viewers can pay to have their chat messages pinned for specific periods of time.
