News of the ban is leaving many to wonder how long Solista had been cheating at the game, and if it aided him toward ranking in Radiant.Valorant implements an anti-cheat system known as Vanguard that was designed to make cheating virtually impossible. Sony's newly filed patent could forever change how remote viewers watch livestreamed content like professional esports events for the better. Esports have exploded in popularity in recent years with games like Overwatch, League of Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege raising the bar for organized professional play. A new patent filed by Sony, however, gives Sony the potential to change the playing field of esports. Most esports programs stream events on Twitch or, like the Overwatch League, stream on YouTube Gaming. The streams typically function with live editors cutting between different player perspectives with broadcasters talking over the gameplay. The system works well and allows the broadcasters to show multiple perspectives to make the narrative of the matches clear to the audience and allows them to use replays to specifically highlight exciting moments and plays that the live feed may have missed. However, Sony could be looking to change the professional gaming scene. During a recent Twitch broadcast, popular streamer TimtheTitman suggests that he isn't even allowed to play games with Dr Disrespect off-stream. Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm was banned from Twitch last year and many fans are still questioning why. Some of Beahm's friends and former colleagues want to play games with him, but apparently, that may be more difficult than fans think. Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren has set the world record for receiving the highest number of Twitch subscribers of all time — beating the pervious one set by Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, which was 269,155 subscribers. In the afternoon of April 13, Ahgren exceeded 270,000 subscribers, with the number still climbing at the time of publication. The achievement comes on the heels of a 30-day long “sub-athon,” where for each subscriber Ahgren received, he extended the length of his stream by ten seconds. In the end, he received enough subs to keep the marathon going for 30 days straight, during which he streamed night and day. Although the subs continued to pour in, Ahgren announced on April 11 that the event would be coming to an end on April 13 at 9 p.m. PDT.
