Ninja is one of the world's biggest streamers with tens of millions of followers across streaming and social media platforms, regularly streaming Fortnite and, more recently, Marvel Rivals . After having routine skin checks with doctors initially noticing an unusual mole on the underneath of one of his feet, in March 2024, Ninja who was 33 at the time was diagnosed with melanoma. This was removed, along with another nearby mole as a precaution, and he was thankfully cancer-free after the procedure. However just two months later, he spotted another one he didn't feel looked right, had it removed - and that also turned out to be melanoma. Again, he was cancer-free following a procedure to remove it, but Ninja now feels he will play his whole life on "defence" looking for them. On September 1, 2025, Twitch megastar Kai Cenat embarked on a subathon, or streaming marathon, titled Mafiathon 3. This event marks the streamer's third year with the Mafiathon series, where he stays on the clock, streaming for thirty days straight, 24/7. Two of the objectives of this subathon are to raise money for a school in Nigeria and for Cenat to attain one million active subscribers. In terms of followers, Cenat is number two on the platform, with about 19.3 million, trailing behind Spanish-speaking streamer Ibai, who has over 19.7 million. Notably, Kai recently overtook Fortnite streaming legend Tyler "Ninja" during Mafiathon 3. At the beginning of September 2025, Ninja had about 19.2 million followers on the platform, while Cenat had about 18.7 million. Nearly fifteen days later, Kai expanded his following by over 600,000 followers while Ninja's decreased by about 2,000. In 2018, during the height of Fortnite fever, Tyler became the first individual Twitch streamer to surpass 10 million followers. So guys, I have to ask you take off your seat belts and theoretically put in your seat. Borderlands 4 is finally up and coming, and Twitch decided to throw a few thunderboners to shake the community. One very viral tweet was posted from Twitch announcing a collaboration with Gearbox Software for a Stream Together event about the next looter shooter: basically watching streams while counting down the release and rewarding an exclusive emote.
