The gamer population and creative works-Kingdoms remain in suspicion and have furiously mobbed Twitch over this tweet. The tweet read, “Tune in to #808onTwitch week or the gummy bear gets it,” with an undecipherable image slathered across it. The replies then further went downhill. For starters, who in the world even thinks about sending such a tweet? Is it a joke? Is it a threat? Is this some form of skewed marketing? No one really knows, but throughout the night, gamers showered it in reply with accusations of antisemitism, demands for Twitch to take regional controversies seriously, and much more. One minute you had people screaming that Twitch supports Nazis (yikes!), and the next Ian Tedd yelled about vodka in his eyeball. The internet is whack, man. This sudden onset of terribleness initiated with a sort of @mention from Twitch to @beesustheDJ and @djanesintica. Replies containing that Twitch was a terrorist platform and queries as to why it was rewarding antisemitism started pouring in, with some majors dredging up Adin Ross controversies (for anyone unaware, he is an American Twitch streamer who had been warned multiple times on stream for apparently doing Nazi salutes). Even before the servers went live, tens of thousands of people were already queued up in the main menu, waiting. Now that the beta is finally here, Battlefield 6 is off to an undeniably strong start. Image credit: VALORANT Esports VALORANT has announ ced a Twitch extension, dubbed Shotcall, allowing fans to make real-time predictions during VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) matches. Shotcall will first become available for the VCT Americas broadcast during four weekly beta test runs, starting on August 8th. VCT is VALORANT’s premier esports ecosystem organised by the game’s developer Riot Games. The circuit encompasses four regions (Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China), which meet in two yearly Masters events and the season-ending VALORANT Champions tournament. As a desktop-only Twitch extension, Shotcall enables viewers to predict the outcomes of upcoming VTC maps, rounds, and clutches. Correct calls will award points to climb the leaderboard. Moreover, participants can earn rewards based on their Shotcall performance. Beta testers can receive one reward across the four ‘Shotcall Fridays,’ which are scheduled for August 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. Twitch and YouTube star Duke Dennis was arrested at a mall in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday while partaking in a game of hide and seek, police said. The content creator — whose real name is Denzel Dennis — is part of the online collective know as AMP, which also includes streaming superstar Kai Cenat. Dennis, 31, was at the Shops at Rivercenter on Saturday night playing hide and seek with others while the mall was closed, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Officers responded to the mall "to remove individuals playing hide and seek" as they were "causing disruption throughout the area," police said. Security guards had advised said individuals — including Dennis — to leave the mall but they refused, per police. "An officer instructed the suspect to leave, and the suspect verbally and physically refused to leave the location," police said. "An officer instructed the suspect to place his hands by his back and that he would be arrested for criminal trespassing private property." Dennis allegedly ran away, but security guards and officers were able to arrest him, police said. He was charged with criminal trespassing and evading arrest, according to online records.
