A Bristol teacher who viewed an indecent image of a child via Snapchat and then deleted his account to cover his tracks has been banned from the profession for life. William Nunn, a science teacher at Cotham School, received the photo from someone he added as a friend who had offered to share vile images of youngsters on social media site Reddit. He later claimed his intention was to “entrap” the person who sent it but he failed to report it to the authorities, deleted the app and communications without trace and kept changing his story in interviews with the school and the police to the point that he eventually admitted all allegations. A Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) professional conduct panel found that Nunn’s conduct amounted to unacceptable professional conduct and conduct that may bring the profession into disrepute. He was banned from teaching indefinitely with no review period and cannot apply to reenter the profession again. The TRA’s report, published on Friday, June 9, said the 29-year-old added the individual he saw on Reddit as a friend on Snapchat in August 2020, which the panel believed was in response to a request from Nunn for their username, and the

June 6, 2023 9:44 PM AI chatbots are seemingly everywhere — and now they might be coming to Instagram. Instagram appears to be testing out an AI chatbot, according to a mobile developer. The chatbot could answer questions, give advice, and help users write messages. Earlier this year, Snapchat released its own AI chatbot to generally negative reviews. Users will be able to choose between 30 different personalities for the AI agents, Paluzzi says. His post indicates that it could offer creative solutions to "find the best way to express yourself." Instagram did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment regarding the chatbot. Meta previously announced that it was planning to experiment with AI on Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. In Februrary, Zuckerberg said the company's long-term goal was to create AI personas that can help people in a variety of ways. On Instagram, he said the company was working on AI to optimize filters and ads.
