Holly Valance's fans have threatened to boycott the singer after she dined with Donald Trump and Nigel Farage. (Twitter) Fans were left sufficiently confused, to say the least, after Neighbours star Holly Valance dined with Donald Trump and Nigel Farage. On Friday (8 April), the former British politician and one of Brexit’s most aggressive supporters tweeted a photograph of the unlikely group. “Great dinner at Mar-a-Lago,” the ex-leader of The Brexit Party said. The seemingly grab bag dinner guests dined alongside Valance’s husband Nick Candy, a Tory donor and billionaire property developer slammed last year for attending a party with then Conservative London mayoral candidate Shaun Bailey. The 2020 social function was thrown despite such gatherings being illegal at the time amid coronavirus restrictions. Some vowed to never listen to her music again. “Gay Twitter, I am distraught,” tweeted HIV advocate Tom Hayes. “Holly Valance is a Farage and Trump fan. Going to have to expunge her from my…

The new AR lens will teach users to finger spell their name and practice the ASL alphabet. The lens also includes games that users can play to test their ASL knowledge. The social media company has partnered with SignAll and is using its computer vision and machine learning technology to recognize users’ hand gestures. The new ASL Alphabet lens was developed by a team of deaf and hard-of-hearing employees at Snap called the “Deafengers.” “We hope that Lenses not only evolve the way we see the world, but help us feel closer to one another,” the company said in a blog post about the announcement. “For native signers, in a world where linguistic inequity is prevalent, we believe AR can help evolve the way we communicate. We look forward to learning more from our community as we strive to continuously improve experiences for everyone on Snapchat.” The new lens is a more advanced version of the finger spelling Lenses that Snap launched in partnership with SignAll last September that were designed to teach users how to communicate using sign…

The 43rd edition of Piper Sandler‘s biannual report is now live, and its results reflect the current state of Gen Z. The sample for the 43rd TSWT reported included 7,100 individuals from 44 U.S. States. Piper Sandler (formerly known as Piper Jaffray) said that the average age of its respondents was 16.2 years old. The teens chose Emma Chamberlain (pictured above) as their #1 influencer, ahead of mainstream stars like Kanye West and Zendaya. The 20-year-old vlogger and entrepreneur hasn’t posted a new YouTube video in nearly four months, but her fans are still paying close attention to all of her posts. Chamberlain’s ability to maintain her cultural capital despite her YouTube hiatus suggests that the Google-owned platform isn’t the tastemaker it once was. But Chamberlain did get her start on YouTube, so maybe the kids just like her coffee that much.Subscribe for daily Tubefilter Top StoriesSubscribe It would be inaccurate to suggest that American teens no longer care about YouTube. Read moreDetailsThe incident would have happened in 2017, ByteDance deciding to accelerate by any means the development of Flipagram, the forerunner of the current TikTok network. Instead of pursuing a natural business growth plan based on improving services and attracting new users, ByteDance would have chosen a not-so-legal “shortcut” to creating thousands of fake accounts on its own Flipagram platform, populated by taking large volumes of photos and videos from the most real accounts of Instagram and Snapchat stars. Everything without their knowledge or consent. According to testimonies from former ByteDance employees, quoted by BuzzFeed, China’s engineering team, which was responsible for Flipagram’s so-called “growth hacking”, also downloaded 10,000 videos a day. Rather than simulating activity on fake accounts, ByteDance would have used the stolen content to refine its “For You” algorithms according to US users’ preferences. This explains how, out of nowhere, the TikTok network has managed to rise so quickly in users’ preferences. Although some users realized that they were “stolen” and even reported to Instagram that their pictures appeared on Flipagram, apparently, the American company did not intervene promptly enough to stop these practices, reported on a platform addressed to the Chinese public. .
