KEY POINTSKamaru Usman is the UFC's current pound-for-pound kingUsman has clarified a few things in his recent issue with "haters" frequently trolling"The Nigerian Nightmare" has named two possible opponentsWhile waiting for his next challenger, UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has addressed a sensitive issue involving his name.Fans have been a huge part of sports and it certainly applies to the sport of MMA.Through social media, fans get the chance to connect to athletes and at times, let them know what they truly feel about them.Take Usman’s recent experience as an example. The reigning UFC pound-for-pound king has become a hot subject of discussion after being criticized over a powerful message he sent to some of his frequent Snapchat trolls that apparently went overboard. In it, Usman bluntly told them to go “choke yourself” and “kill yourself.”Aware that it will surely cause a stir, “The Nigerian Nightmare” made a few clarifications about it a few hours later. According to Usman, there’s a good chance that he might have “typed it the wrong way” as it was already late. However, he stood firm on his stance about putting the “haters” in their place.“Let me clear this up,” Usman said as quoted by MMA News. “I…

A 19-year-old Feasterville man will spend 14 days behind bars for his involvement with the attempt to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election.Prosecutors were seeking a 45-day sentence for Leonard Pearso Ridge, whose lawyers asked U.S. District Judge James Boasberg sentence Ridge only to probation.Boasberg instead gave Ridge a two-week prison sentence, 100 hours of community service and a $1,000 fine.Boasberg said last Tuesday it was the Neshaminy High School graduate’s age that kept Ridge from serving the full sentence, but his text messages before and after the riots made some jail time appropriate.Ridge was arrested in May 2020 in Lower Southampton after at least three witnesses told federal investigators last January about social media posts Ridge made chronicling his time inside the Capitol Building.Ridge told another Snapchat user on Dec. 29 that the election was stolen from former President Donald Trump and that “something big will happen in this nation very soon.”On Jan. 6, Ridge claimed he saw the shooting of Ashley Babbitt, the Air Force veteran killed while attempting to break through a barricade inside the Capitol Building, and that he was hit with mace several times.“I just made history,” Ridge said.In addition to Ridge’s own video posts on Snapchat, investigators…

There is no doubt that Bayley is one of the top female Superstars in all of WWE. Her previous reign as Smackdown Women’s Champion lasted 380 days and on top of that, she also has the most days as a Women’s Champion in modern WWE.Last year, Bayley suffered a horrific injury while training at the WWE Performance Center. Bayley is expected to be out for 9 months and for that, she underwent knee reconstruction surgery.During her absence, The Role Model has remained active on social media. With the Women’s Royal Rumble match set to take place later this month, a fan took to Twitter and made it clear that they want to see Bayley make her return during the match.Bayley saw the fan’s tweet and decided to reply to it, as she clowned the fan for even asking about a possible return to the squared circle.“Want want want that’s all you guys ever say!!!!!!! What about what I want?!???”Bayley also previously made it clear she wants to make her return to the squared circle. Bayley also previously stated that her knee is doing great. Published: 1/9/2022 9:00:59 AM Modified: 1/9/2022 9:00:08 AM In 2015, Sherry Turkle, a social scientist and licensed psychologist, wrote a bestseller, Reclaiming Conversation: The Power Of Talk In a Digital Age, about how in-person interactions are being replaced by devices such as smartphones. This book was released years after Facebook and other platforms began to not only replace conversations, but also to increase the amount of time people spend online.Smartphones have become such a huge part of our lives that even kids and adolescents have them. There is no question that these devices serve a purpose for emergency and safety reasons, but what is different is the addictive nature of smartphones, especially for children and young adults, as highlighted by the work of Jonathan Haidt and Jean Twenge. Both of these social psychologists have written about the growing use of digital devices and the mental health of adolescents. Increases they saw in loneliness, depression and suicidal tendencies prompted them to probe further. They uncovered that as the mental health of adolescents was declining, the majority of Americans were acquiring smartphones. They reported that by 2015 two-thirds of youth owned these devices and by 2019, depression had nearly doubled. But it was not just the increased ownership and…

For instance, most Android phones have a native "Private files" feature that allows you to password certain files. If you're into social media, you'll be pleased to know that Snapchat also has a tool that helps you stop others from seeing content you don't want them to. In this post, we'll cover Snapchat's My Eyes Only feature, how it works, and how to use it. What Is Snapchat's My Eyes Only Feature All About? If you use Snapchat, you've probably come across the My Eyes Only tab. If you have but still have no clue what it's all about, you're at the right place.
