Personal data, including phone numbers, of over 553 million Facebook users have been published online for free by a user in a low-level hacking forum, according to Business Insider. At least 100 countries are included in this leak, with data from 32 million users in the U.S. and 11 million users in the UK. This very serious breach contains mobile phone numbers, Fb IDs, full names, areas, birthdates, bios, and in some instances electronic mail addresses. NORTH LIBERTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A North Liberty man has been charged with coercion and enticement and transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.In a criminal complaint law enforcement said 46-year-old Joseph Foster drove from his North Liberty home to Tennessee on January 1, 2021, to pick up a 14-year-old girl. He then drove her back to his North Liberty home where he had her hide from his ex-wife (who was also living in the house).The criminal complaint says Foster even had the girl dye her hair dark, blue-black.An investigation started after the girl was reported missing from her Tennessee home on January 2. Agents said the girl had bought multiple pregnancy tests from February to December 2020.The preliminary investigation discovered that the girl had been using social media to communicate with Foster, and that Foster had given her access to his Amazon account even before he had gone to pick her up.Investigators said the girl had been using Cashapp and other social media accounts most likely to advertise and/or perform sexually explicit activities for people in return for payment.Records showed multiple transactions from December 2020. The UK’s competition regulator is launching an in-depth investigation of Facebook’s $400m (£290m) acquisition of the gif creation website Giphy over fears that it could lead to a squeeze on the supply of gifs to other social networks such as Snapchat, TikTok and Twitter.The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said on Thursday it was concerned that the takeover may “result in a substantial lessening of competition” for gif creation in the UK and other markets.The CMA said it had called upon Facebook to address its concerns, but Facebook had refused to do so.The most popular gif of 2020 was Thank You by Red & Howling, which shows a cartoon dog expressing its thanks to medical staff and essential workers during the Covid pandemic. (WJHL) – A Marion, Virginia man has been sentenced to 27 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty to coercing underage girls into sending him explicit photos over Snapchat. According to a release from the Department of Justice, Hunter Royal, 23, was sentenced to serve 27 years in court on Tuesday. The release states Royal had previously pleaded guilty to one count of persuading, inducing, enticing, and coercing minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing visual depictions of such conduct.  “Royal exploited these minor victims, meeting them online, and is a parent’s worst nightmare.  This lengthy sentence ought to send a clear message to would-be online predators: your behavior will not be tolerated, and you will be brought to justice,” Acting U.S. Attorney Bubar said in the release.  “These cases are some of the most important that we do, and I am grateful for the hard work of Homeland Security and our other federal and local law enforcement partners, who will continue to work tirelessly to vindicate the interests of vulnerable victims…
