The victim’s mother told officers she had received screenshots of Snapchat messages from her daughter’s boyfriend. A Utah man faces "several charges" in relation to allegations he used Snapchat to sell e-cigarettes to minors, according to Salt Lake City's KSTU. What's happening? On Sept. 11, police in Washington County, Utah, arrested 27-year-old Curtis Bailee Proctor. According to KSTU, Proctor repeatedly came to the attention of law enforcement regarding his alleged activities pertaining to nicotine vapes, also called e-cigarettes. Back in January, a minor described only as a "child" was taken to the Washington City police station by his parents, who reported that the boy obtained "multiple nicotine vapes from an adult man" on the Snapchat platform. The child reportedly positively identified Proctor as the individual from whom he'd purchased the vapes. In June, an adult woman visited the same station, alleging that Proctor netted around $10,000 a month selling "large quantities of nicotine vapes on Snapchat." In August, another parent discovered their child had purchased vapes through Snapchat. Once again, the minor reportedly made a positive identification when shown a photograph of Proctor. EASTFORD, CT (WFSB) - A man was shot and robbed after meeting another man from Snapchat for an alleged transaction on Saturday night in Eastford. Police arrested King Michael Adoty, 19, from Woodstock for the incident. According to state police, the shooting and theft happened around 8:50 p.m. Authorities did not clarify exactly where it happened in town. Police said the victim reportedly arranged to meet an individual who he only knew as ‘Adoty’ through Snapchat for some type of transaction. According to the victim, Adoty entered the man’s car and shot him in the leg before fleeing with another man in a silver Volvo sedan. The investigation was then taken over by Eastern District Major Crime Detectives. Investigators found the victim’s car which became a second crime scene on Mill Bridge Road. Police said they collected suspected marijuana, vape cartridges, clothing, and high capacity 9mm magazine from the car. Adoty was arrested after matching the description from the victim and having previously been seen driving a silver 2015 Volvo S80. On June 6, state troopers from the Dunmore barracks spoke with a Covington Twp. juvenile who disclosed to her mother and therapist that she had engaged in cyber sex with an adult over the last several weeks. She told investigators she accepted a friend request from a male adult who subsequently sent her a photo of him groping himself. The juvenile sent pictures back to the adult that depicted her in underwear. According to the criminal complaint: The man, later identified as Narendra Bisesar, 34, then asked the juvenile if she could call him via Snapchat, which she did. The two then engaged in a series of video calls during which both sent explicit images of themselves. Bisesar, of Lindenhurst, Long Island, never asked the 15-year-old her age, but she did tell him she was a freshman in high school. They operated out of Hatbill Park in Mims, just north and west of Titusville, which has extremely remote access to the St. Johns River and connected lakes. FWC investigators say the group would troll the river system and grab, mostly small gators, to harvest them for the meat and hides. Capturing alligators without proper authorization is a third-degree felony. This week, FWC officers arrested Jacob Latreille of Edgewater and charged him with 13 counts of illegally capturing and killing gators. Warrants have been drawn for the arrests of Luke David Michael Landry and two others, Wyatt Scott Lowe, and Robert Gage Martin. All three of them are from Mims and the Titusville area.
