The Commission’s statement on climate impact fund legislation reads: “The Hawai‘I Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission stands in full support of the Climate Impact Fund. The proposed legislation is a continued commitment by the State and the Legislature to address the climate emergency declared by the Legislature in 2021 by investing significant funds and resources to leverage the historic federal funding to address climate change. This further demonstrates the State’s seriousness in addressing climate mitigation and adaptation actions and empower State, County, and non-governmental organizations to take climate action now.” The Commission was established by law in 2017 and has representatives from the legislature, county planning departments, leaders of executive branch departments, and coastal zone management experts. Since January 2011, AFRC has successfully spawned and raised collector urchins in captivity with the purpose of releasing them in the bay as part of an ecosystem-based management plan for environmental mitigation work in the bay and off Waikīkī. “The millionth urchin and about 13,000 others were planted on a patch reef in North Kāneʻohe Bay where they will go to work, grazing on invasive seaweed,” Eric Dilley, DAR Monitoring Coordinator said. The native urchins act as underwater gardeners and help keep invasive seaweeds under control. This allows corals to grow and provide habitat for reef fish and other marine life. Urchins are spawned, settled, and raised at AFRC on Sand Island as part

Ed Underwood, Administrator with the DLNR Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation (DOBOR), said, “There is no truth to claims that we intend to eliminate free parking, which includes some spaces facing the lagoon, and many others at the coastline.” “There are no immediate plans to change any of the free parking at the Ala Wai SBH,” added Assistant DOBOR Administrator Meghan Statts. Of the 900 parking spaces at the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor, one-third are paid, one-third are for those with long-term permits, and the remaining 300 are set aside for free parking for recreational users. Some of the misinformation may be the result of proposed legislation that would require DOBOR to set aside 300 free parking spaces. “In the very near future, we are going to do a request for proposals for the development within

We ran into my friend Tokai and her daughter Luna (orange top) and Luna's friend as we began our race. Here my wife Merlie (far right) posed with them. We told them about Opera Santa Barbara performing at 5:30 at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. But we stopped first to check out Legacy Art Santa Barbara at 1230 State Street and admired the diverse display of traditional and modern art in a variety of media. We rushed over to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art for the Opera Santa Barbara performance with singer Elijah Cineas and pianist Timothy Accurso. Our friends Tokai and Luna were inside. But the capacity of the room was only 35 and it was completely full. We were not allowed in. Ever more people kept arriving, frustrated that they could not enter. After a couple of performance pieces, Tokai kindly stepped out so that I could go in and take some photos and videos. I followed up with Opera Santa Barbara later. Pianist

The film, directed and produced by Joe Bradt through Classy Wolf Media and Wrestlevision, is a touching, informative, in-depth look at his indie career and the friendships and achievements he made along the way. It follows Huber’s career from its infancy, starting in the AWF, a wrestling federation run out of a public park in Rochester by a group of local teens. Huber was brought into the group by his cousin, Lou Englert, and this is where he met future WWE co-worker Colin Delaney, who had discovered the group on an online message board. It was here that Huber donned the name Huberboy #2, as he joined the AWF alongside his brother Chris, who was Huberboy #1, of course (his brother would later act as a referee on the indies). Jon used this name for a while on the indies, and wrestled using a very agile and aerial style for a man his size. His friends say this is because

The DLNR Division of State Parks (DSP) decided, after spending a lot of time and money trying to remedy chronic leaks, it needed to look at a more long-term fix rather than the band-aid fixes employed over the past five years.” When David Arnado, the new DSP Hawai‘i District Superintendent began work four-months ago he stepped into the fire, or in this case the water. DSP brings water into the park, from a Hawai‘i County line, for restrooms, showers, and drinking. Hāpuna is equally popular with residents and visitors. Not unexpectedly, the shut-down of the system last October created a “water-storm” of complaints, criticism, and comments. “There have been 41 attempts at correcting
