While there has been massive outrage surrounding the IT Ministry’s (Kominfo) decision to ban online services over license breaches, the saga may have presented somewhat of a silver lining for two platforms that have long been blocked in Indonesia: Reddit and Vimeo. Kominfo this week blocked access to the likes of Yahoo!, Steam, and PayPal over the platforms’ failures to register as Electronic Service Providers (PSE) with the ministry. Kominfo introduced the requirement in 2020, ostensibly for the purposes of cyber security and user protection. The bans were lifted indefinitely yesterday after Kominfo became the target for immense public ire, with critics arguing that losing access to the popular platform crippled their ability to work, interact, and play online. Amid the saga, Kominfo did say that the PSE registration requirement has now opened the door for online services that have been inaccessible in the country for years (VPN and other workarounds notwithstanding). Gaydon, UK – Jaguar Land Rover has taken another step towards a new era of electrification and connectivity by opening a facility to test the next generation of vehicles for electrical and radio interference. The Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) laboratory at Gaydon in the UK, will ensure future vehicles meet current and future legislation and quality standards for connectivity and electronics. New Range Rover Sport, which launched in May, was the first vehicle to undergo a bespoke testing program at the in-house facility. A critical aspect of vehicle performance, EMC is the ability of electrical equipment and systems to function correctly in their electromagnetic environment. It works by limiting the unintentional generation, propagation, and reception of electromagnetic energy to reduce the risk of unwanted effects such as electromagnetic interference. A pair of conjoined twins with fused brains were successfully separated during surgery in Rio de Janeiro.  Three-year-old Brazilians Bernardo and Arthur Lima underwent seven different operations and spent 33 hours under the knife in the final two operations alone.  100 medical staff were involved in the procedures and Dr Gabriel Mufarrej hailed the separation as a "remarkable achievement".  We are so thrilled to share the news of our sixth set of successfully separated twins!
