Nearly 2,000,000 people have signed a petition asking the federal government not to execute Dustin Higgs, who was convicted of ordering the murder of three DC women. BELTSVILLE, Md. — Sometime Friday night, a Maryland man is scheduled to become the 13th and likely final person put to death by the Trump administration since it restarted federal executions in 2020.  Dustin Higg's lawyer, Shawn Nolan, told WUSA9 he's still hopeful the Supreme Court will refuse to lift a stay -- but the court has allowed 12 other executions to go forward in the last six months. The Trump administration is asking the Supreme Court to let his execution move forward.  Higgs continues to maintain his innocence in a particularly horrifying crime, and nearly two million people have signed a petition calling for him to be spared. Blocher was a member of the SCUBA team, a SWAT sniper, an investigator, and most recently a supervisor for the Electronic Surveillance Unit. Captain Tony Delello, Indiana State Police Area Five Commander, and longtime friend to Sgt. Blocher said, “Mitch stood strong on his values, to include his family, his faith, and his community. His passion for his career and public safety was apparent in every aspect of his life. He worked tirelessly for twenty-five years to ensure safety in his community and beyond. IAC (ticker: IAC) has been issuing monthly financial updates on all of its business lines, and the December update included positive signs from several of its businesses. Most important, the company said that revenue at Vimeo, a provider of cloud-based video editing tools, rose 57%, accelerating from 54% growth in November and 49% in October. Subscribers were up 24% for the second straight month, increasing from 22% in October, 21% in September and 19% in August. IAC has announced plans to spin off Vimeo to shareholders in 2021. The company said that revenue at IAC-controlled ANGI Homeservices (ANGI) was up 12% for the month, down from 14% growth in November, but up from 10% in October.
