The company, whose holdings include Vimeo, Eventbrite and AOL, filed for an initial public offering (IPO) Monday (June 8) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the filing, Bending Spoons had net income of $27.5 million and revenue of $601 million for the first three months of this year. That’s compared with a net loss of $112 million and revenue of $259 million in 2025. “As we transform AOL, Eventbrite, and Vimeo, and continue to optimize our other businesses, 2026 is shaping up to be strong,” the company wrote in the filing. “However, our focus remains on maximizing our prospects not for next quarter or even next year, but for the long run. We see a vast opportunity ahead.” The filing adds that Bending Spoons has identified more than 1,000 digital businesses as potential acquisition targets, representing close to $400 billion in aggregate estimated annual revenue in 2025. A California police officer has been reassigned and an independent investigation launched after video of her repeatedly punching a 16-year-old Black student at Fairfield High School spread widely on social media. As theGrio previously reported, police brutality against Black people caught on video continues to force institutional responses only after footage goes viral, and families in communities across the country are organizing press conferences and demanding investigations when video evidence contradicts official police accounts. SFGATE, citing Bay City News, reported that the incident occurred May 20 when Officer Bianca Camacho responded to a reported fight on the campus. Video of the confrontation shows Camacho seizing teenager and student Maurice Williams, throwing him to the ground and striking him in the head at least seven times while he is pinned down and held by his dreadlocks. Camacho can be heard shouting “Give me your f—king hands.” Fairfield Police Chief Dan Marshall said that the officer had been “administratively reassigned” and that an outside organization would conduct an independent review. “I am sorry this incident occurred,” Marshall said. A 43-year-old man is dead after a car crash in Monroe on Saturday evening. Authorities say that two cars crashed at 7:14 p.m. Saturday on Lakes Road. State police say a preliminary investigation found a 2019 Toyota traveling southbound on Lakes Road crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2025 Subaru head-on. The driver of the Subaru died at the scene and was identified as Daryl Baker, 43, of Monroe. The driver of the Toyota was identified as Robert Molina, 61, of Monroe and taken to Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown in critical condition. The investigation remains ongoing.
