WhatsApp Beta for iOS just got a new update which has the feature of searching for messages by date. This way if users want to search messages, they can do so quickly by date. The users were waiting for this app for so long as it was under development for two years but now it has fully developed to become a part of your WhatsApp. WhatsApp released this feature on version 22.24.0.77 on the TestFlight app for beta users.To use this feature, you will have to click on the calendar icon on your chatbox where the keyboard icon is. The calendar icon means that this feature has been added to your WhatsApp for IOS. After clicking on the icon, search for the date you want the conversation and it will show you the chat on that concerned date. This way you can even go to the very first message quickly too. As this feature is still rolling out, it will take some time for the update to reach you if it hasn't already. Meta-owned WhatsApp on Wednesday said it banned over 23 lakh bad accounts in India in the month of October in compliance with the new IT Rules 2021 which are being amended to put more responsibilities on social media platforms. Between October 1 and October 31, 23,24,000 WhatsApp accounts were banned and 8,11,000 of these accounts were proactively banned, before any reports from users, said the company. WhatsApp is rolling out a feature that lets you “Message Yourself“, which is actually more useful than you’d think. It was initially part of a beta trial, but it will soon be available for both iOS and Android users. Source Message Yourself is a feature that lets you have your own chatspace—like you would for your group chats and your chats with individual contacts, except that only you would be able to view it. This means that you can post there as you would in any other chat, and sort of treat it like your own personal message board. You can save links, audio files, make to-do lists, send yourself holiday plans… basically whatever you want. And sure, the argument is that you can easily do the same thing with the Notes app or something similar. Image source: PixabayBinance CEO Changpeng Zhao has warned users of an upcoming wave of phishing scams as hackers are selling up-to-date mobile phone numbers of nearly 500 million WhatsApp users.In a tweet, Zhao, who goes by the name CZ on Twitter, said over 487 million WhatsApp phone numbers are for sale on the Dark Web. He stated that the numbers seem legit and that users should be prepared to receive phishing links and scam messages. According to a report by Cybernews, a hacker posted the numbers on a well-known hacking community forum on November 16, claiming that they were an up-to-date database of 487 million WhatsApp user mobile numbers.The dataset reportedly contains WhatsApp user numbers from 84 countries. The largest chunk of phone numbers belongs to the citizens of Egypt (45 million), Italy (35 million), the US (32 million), Saudi Arabia (29 million), France (20 million), and Turkey (20 million).The threat actor allegedly told Cybernews that they were selling the US dataset for $7,000, the UK for $2,500, and Germany for $2,000.
