The Philippine defence secretary says at least 17 people have been killed and 40 rescued in the crash of a Philippine air force C-130 aircraft carrying troops in a southern province.Defence Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said rescue efforts are ongoing. He said the aircraft had 92 people on board, including three pilots and five crew. The rest were army personnel.The plane was transporting troops from southern Cagayan de Oro city. The feature has already rolled to WhatsApp beta testers on Android. Reportedly, if the test goes smoothly, the feature will be rolled out for the general public too.WABetaInfo reported that the new feature currently has some drawbacks. For instance, a recipient can screenshot his or her phone to stay the image beyond the auto-delete. Additionally, if you have read receipts disabled, the sender can still see whether you've viewed a photograph or video. And, blocked contacts can still see single-use attachments if they're a part of a standard group.However, there is no information on when this new feature might roll out globally, neither is there any mention of a rollout to iOS or desktop as of yet. You may soon be able to share high-quality videos with your contacts on WhatsApp. WABetaInfo has found evidence of a new "video quality" feature in the latest WhatsApp beta update v2.21.14.6 for Android. As can be seen in the screenshot below, the feature allows you to choose the video quality before you begin uploading it. You'll be able to choose from three options: Auto (recommended), Best Quality, and Data Saver.
