Twitter Gives Social Shopping a Second Shot – WWD

Twitter is taking another stab at social shopping. The move comes seven years after the social media powerhouse unveiled its first commerce initiative. The feature, which let users buy goods from shoppable tweets, didn’t get far. Less than three years later, it confirmed it was doing away with the buttons. In the meantime—largely since the pandemic turbocharged the e-commerce market—a swath of rivals has taken up similar endeavors. In May last year, Facebook announced it was launching a new Shop feature on both its namesake app and Instagram, its photo-centric subsidiary. This May, Snapchat expanded its in-app stores—for a year, available only to a limited selection of brands—to everyone. The same month, Bloomberg reported TikTok was testing in-app sales in Europe. Now, it appears Twitter wants back in. On Wednesday, it unveiled the “Shop Module.” The feature, it said, will sit in a dedicated space at the top of a business’ profile and offer a scrollable carousel of products, each of which can be bought in an in-app browser. “Social commerce solves the agility challenges brands have experienced within other e-commerce platforms,” Eric Dahan, CEO of influencer marketing agency Open Influence, said. “Moving forward, we don’t expect this evolution of

Sunday stats: How the Sixers pulled off their biggest win of the season… so far | PhillyVoice

If any team has ever been representative of how quickly things can change in the NBA, it has been the 2025-26 Sixers. Take the last six days for example: on Monday, they seemed like a laughing stock. They lost to Jared McCain and the Oklahoma City Thunder with four of their five best players unavailable. On Wednesday, they got two of those key pieces back and obliterated the Chicago Bulls. On Saturday, the other two returned, too, and the Sixers beat one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference on the road to notch their most important win of the season. And yet the next time the Sixers take the floor, they will have a chance to get an even more important victory. But before focusing on the Sixers' battle with the Miami Heat on Monday night, let's dive into this week's Sunday stats, detailing the team's impressive triumph over the surging Charlotte Hornets: 43:00 Tyrese Maxey's playing time on Saturday night. Maxey, who was ruled out for approximately three weeks with a right finger on March 10, was supposed to at least miss the end of the month. He was clearly in good spirits when meeting with the media on

Jaylen Brown boasts on Twitter after Celtics clinch playoff spot – Boston.com

Boston Celtics "50 wins in a gap year." The Celtics didn't need Jaylen Brown or Derrick White on Sunday to beat Charlotte. Barry Chin/The Boston Globe By Conor Ryan March 29, 2026 2 minutes to read Share It didn’t take long after the Celtics left the court at Charlotte’s Spectrum Center on Sunday for Jaylen Brown to take to social media. Brown — sidelined for Sunday’s road game against the Hornets due to left Achilles tendinitis — relished Boston’s record after the Celtics took down one of the hottest teams in the league, 114-99.  “50 wins in a gap year,” Brown said on X, adding a shamrock emoji. For all of the talk of the Celtics staring at a lost season in 2025-26 following Jayson Tatum’s Achilles injury and the loss of several key players this past offseason, Boston hasn’t lost its standing as a legitimate contender in the Eastern Conference. Not only did Boston’s win over Charlotte improve the Celtics’ record to 50-24, but it also secured a playoff berth, with Boston advancing to the postseason for the 12th year in a row. It’s the longest-active playoff streak across the NBA.  Boston has now reached the 50-win mark for

Popular Twitter user ‘explains’ how Sam Altman’s OpenAI may have caused the worst …

A recent X (formerly Twitter) post has claimed that Sam Altman-led OpenAI may have played a key role in a sharp rise in global memory prices, sparking debate online. Sharing the post, user @aakashgupta wrote: “OpenAI may have caused the worst consumer hardware crisis in a decade with purchase orders that were never real. ” In the post, Gupta alleged that non-binding agreements signed by OpenAI for large volumes of DRAM chips led markets to react as if real orders had been placed. While the claims have not been officially confirmed, it comes at a time when memory prices have seen sharp fluctuations and the AI industry continues to drive demand for high-performance hardware. In the post, Gupta says that OpenAI signed letters of intent with Samsung and SK Hynix for 900,000 DRAM wafers per month that he claims accounted for “ 40% of global supply”. “Those "deals" were letters of intent, not binding purchase orders. No RAM actually changed hands. But the market treated them as real,” Gupta alleged adding “DDR4 kits that should have been in oversupply doubled. Retailers stopped posting prices entirely”.
