Iconic Singer-Songwriter, 86, Announces Farewell Tour – The Daily Beast

1 College Republicans Chapter Collapses After Alleged Nazi Salute HATE GROUP Miami Herald/TNS The University of Florida’s College Republicans chapter has disbanded after a photo showing two members seemingly performing a Nazi salute circulated widely on social media. The University of Florida announced over the weekend that the Florida Federation of College Republicans had disbanded its campus chapter and requested that officials deactivate it as a registered student organization while new leadership is sought. The group hit back at the decision, saying that the federation has no authority over the chapter, and accused it of lying to “silence Christian conservative groups on campus.” James Fishback, a Republican gubernatorial candidate for Florida whose event the group had hosted just two days earlier, called the move an attack on the First Amendment. He added that he stands with University of Florida College Republicans “and any student group (on the right or left) whose free speech rights are under threat.” The university said it “emphatically supports its Jewish community” and remains committed to preventing antisemitism and other forms of discrimination. 2 ‘Baywatch’ Star Arrested After Freeing Dogs in Animal Rights Protest PAWS AND EFFECT Mirrorpix/Getty Images A ’90s television star has been arrested

The Formula: Jelkin, Early Offensive Onslaught Pace No. 21 Kentucky – UK Athletics

Jaxon Jelkin shook off a week of illness, provided 5.1 capable innings and benefitted from early offense as No. 21 Kentucky defeated Alabama 7-4 to claim its Southeastern Conference opener on Friday night at Kentucky Proud Park. The Wildcats moved to 16-2 overall and 1-0 in league play. Despite battling the fatigue of illness, Jelkin shook off a first inning home run by Alabama star Justin Lebron and fought his way through four scoreless frames before Alabama tagged him for a three-run home run that clipped the right field pole. Meanwhile, Ethan Hindle hit a two-run home run in the first – he has homered in five of the past seven games – and Ryan Schwartz added his own two-run blast in the second. Later, Owen Jenkins added the first home run of his career as UK scored in each of the first five innings. Connor Mattison and Jack Bennett pitched three scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, to slam the door on the Crimson Tide. NOTES Kentucky is 16-2 on the season, 1-0 in SEC play. UK is 133-65 since the beginning of 2023. UK Coach Nick Mingione is in his 10th season at the helm and now owns

No. 18 Auburn pulls off comeback victory over No. 13 Vanderbilt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – No. 18 Auburn men’s tennis came back in dramatic fashion to upset 13th-ranked Vanderbilt on Friday afternoon, winning 5-2 at the Brownlee O. Currey Jr. Tennis Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The Commodores claimed the doubles point and four first sets in singles, but the Tigers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to win the match 5-2 with four match victories in three sets. “It was a great team win today,” Auburn head coach Bobby Reynolds said after the match. “Our backs were against the wall and credit to Vanderbilt to coming out and taking it to us early in the doubles to set the tone. They played aggressive tennis and played with a lot of confidence. But credit to our boys. They never stopped fighting and never stopped clawing back. “I think the big flip of the match was when Nicholas Heng clawed his way back from a set and a break down to win the second set. You could just feel the momentum turn. For our guys to be successful in third sets and find ways to win is them growing and developing. Excited to get out of here with a win over a great team and

Bengals Twitter enjoyed the signing of Jonathan Allen | Cincy Jungle

The masses were uncomfortable with the Bengals’ free agency inactivity on Tuesday and Wednesday, but things revved up on Thursday. Cincinnati first announced a contract extension with Orlando Brown Jr., followed by reports of the team signing veteran defensive lineman Jonathan Allen to a two-year contract. Allen joins a defensive-focused 2026 free agency class for the Bengals that also includes defensive lineman Boye Mafe and safety Bryan Cook. Allen’s contract is reportedly a two-year agreement that could be worth up to $28 million. The Bengals made it clear this offseason would be centered on rebuilding their defense, and the early moves prove it. While Allen is up there in age (31), he’s a former Pro Bowl player who still has juice and can provide the needed leadership. The veteran defensive lineman was a former 17th overall pick in 2017 by Washington. He spent the first eight seasons there, racking up two Pro Bowl nods (2021-2022). Allen was with the Vikings last season, who released him on Wednesday, and the Bengals reportedly pounced quickly to get him signed. Let’s take a look at some tweets from X to get the vibes about Allen landing with Cincinnati. Twitter Reactions on Jonathan Allen
