Quick Start Leads Kentucky Past James Madison in NCAA First Round – UK Athletics

The Kentucky women’s basketball team used a 19-2 run in the first quarter to build a sizeable lead, then cruised past James Madison 71-56 on Saturday in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in Morgantown, West Virginia. Edwards scores 27 in NCAA Tournament 1st round win – University of South Carolina Athletics

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Joyce Edwards had 27 points and eight rebounds and No. 1 seed South Carolina won its 17th straight home  women’s NCAA Tournament game  with a 103-34 defeat of 16th-seeded Southern on Saturday. Edwards and the Gamecocks (32-3) opened with a 15-0 burst and never let up against the Jaguars (20-14), the Southwestern Athletic Conference champions. South Carolina, already up 25 at the break, outscored Southern 32-2 in the third quarter. It took little time for South Carolina to get going with Edwards scoring the first two baskets. Ta’Niya Latson added five points in the opening run as Southern started 0-for-7 shooting with six turnovers. Latson finished with 17 points while Madina Okot and Agot Makeer had 15 points each. Tessa Johnson had 14 points and a career-high 10 rebounds. Jocelyn Tate had 10 points to lead Southern. Gamecock Notables The Gamecock defense was on fire, holding Southern to the lowest points and lowest field goal percentage allowed by the Gamecocks this season, highlighted by a third quarter that saw no field goals from the Jaguars. The 103-34 win marked the largest margin of victory for South Carolina in an NCAA Tournament game (prev. 60 vs. Tennessee

Twitter turned 20 and I feel nothing – Engadget

Twitter is officially 20 years old. In another reality, that might make me kind of nostalgic. I've been lurking and scrolling and tweeting for 16 years; most of my adult life. There was a time when Twitter was a place where some internet strangers became my IRL friends, when I was excited to "live-tweet". When my infinitely more well-adjusted friends would send me memes, I would smugly say "I saw that on Twitter days ago." Twitter stopped being that place a long time ago, but I don't have any nostalgia for it. I don't really feel anything at all, actually. Because I can already hear the comments: Yes, I'm still on X. I don't spend as much time there as I did a decade ago, but it's still quite a lot of time, an unhealthy amount, if I'm being honest. My job is to report on social media companies, so I keep (doom)scrolling. That's what I tell myself anyway. A few of my favorite posters are still around. Dril's still got it. The memes are still, occasionally, good, even though X's recommendation algorithm seems to prefer pointing me toward endless AI slop, boring hot takes from thirsty mid-tier tech execs

US Securities Exchange Commission, Musk in talks to settle lawsuit over Twitter disclosures

ISTANBUL The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Elon Musk are working toward a potential settlement in a lawsuit over the late disclosure of stock purchases in Twitter, the social media company now known as X. In a filing submitted on Tuesday to the district court in Washington by the SEC and Musk’s lawyers, the parties said they had met and held consultations. The filing said the sides were engaged in discussions over a “potential resolution” that could make further court proceedings unnecessary. They asked the court to extend the deadline for submitting a joint status report by two weeks, to April 1, in order to facilitate the ongoing talks. The SEC filed the lawsuit against Musk last January over his purchases of shares in Twitter, the platform now known as X and owned by the tech billionaire. The lawsuit alleged that Musk violated federal securities laws by failing to timely file a report with the SEC disclosing that he had acquired more than 5% of Twitter’s shares in March 2022. The SEC argued that this allowed Musk to continue buying shares at lower prices, enabling him to underpay by at least $150 million. It also said that during
