NFL is back, and the beginning of the season did not start off with a blowout like most people expected. Tampa Bay, the reigning Super Bowl champions, barely scraped past the Cowboys thanks to a last ditch 36-yard field goal in the final seconds to put them ahead, 31-29. For a period of time, it looked like Dallas would run away with the game after the Bucs fumbled the ball at the goal line. While they could not convert to a touchdown, kicker Greg Zuerlein made a 48-yard field goal, putting Dallas ahead by a single point. That is until a combination of Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Chris Godwin powered their way to field goal range within the final minute and change of the game. The idli-dosa batter sold by a Bengaluru-based food start-up has been at the receiving end of malicious Twitter propaganda. It began when a user, Srinivasa S.G., took to Twitter to allege that iD used cattle bones and calf rennet in its many products, including the idli-dosa batter. “All the Chennai stores or supermarkets are selling the Idli/dosa paste produced and marketed by iD Foods!! Do you know they mix cows bones & calf rennet to make volume of the batter?”.Srinivasa wrote on the popular micro-blogging platform. Srinivasa's tweet, shared widely across social media including WhatsApp, created quite a furore. When Americans were all winding down from their second Saturday, Weibo—China’s version of Twitter—suspended at least 21 fan accounts for K-pop bands like BTS and Blackpink. In a statement that felt like the rules change ceremony in Wife Swap, the platform said it scrubbed the accounts to curb “irrational star-chasing behavior.”The purge began Sunday, when Weibo banned a BTS fan club with 1.1 million followers from posting for 60 days after it crowdsourced a birthday gift for Jimin (the cutest BTS member, keep up).According to Weibo, collecting donations to customize an airplane for your fav vocalist contributes to the “chaos of fan clubs” that China wants to quell. Later that day, Weibo said it would ban a number of other celebrity accounts in an effort to “purify” its platform. It didn’t take long for Notre Dame to find the endzone against Florida State. On a 4th and 2, transfer quarterback Jack Coan found sophomore tight end Michael Mayer alone on the right side of the field. Mayer then had an easy run into the endzone for the Irish, as they got on the board first. It was an absolutely fantastic first drive where the Irish went with an uptempo attack, that obviously caught the Seminoles off guard.
