Twitter cracks up at Jeezy shading Gucci Mane over owning real estate instead of jewelry

Gucci Mane and Jeezy’s Verzuz was a moment that will definitely go down in hip hop history. Aside from the music that made you feel like you were in school again, for the two Trap pioneers to come together after years of beefing with one another was a beautiful thing for the culture to witness. However, things were definitely rocking between Jeezy and Guwop even though they both tried to be in good spirits during their battle. And yes, that unfortunately means that some shade was thrown in the mix. When Gucci played his diss track “Truth,” an awkward moment ensued and Jeezy had to check him for being so foul. If you know the song, you know it references Gucci fatally shooting a Jeezy associate who broke into his home in 2005. “See when I called you and extended this invite, my nigga, I did it as a real man. It’s been 20 motherfucking years... you still talking the same shit,” the Snowman told Gucci. “All these kids out here doing what the fuck they do cuz they saw what went on with us. This shit ain’t ‘bout me, it ain’t ‘bout you. This shit about King Von, this shit about Doe B, this shit about Nipsey Hussle, this shit about motherfucking Pop Smoke, Mo3...” However, another awkwardly shady — though hilarious and much more lighthearted — moment came prior to the “Truth” diss. As the two were slick dissing one another all night, Gucci decided to insult Jeezy’s ice game. He made a statement along the lines of them doing a jewelry Verzuz next time and Jeezy responded that they should, instead, do a real estate one. Naturally, social media thought the mature, grown man shade was funny. Take a look at some of the best reactions to…

Twitter going bonkers over Kings rookie Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend

Falling all the way to No. 12 to the Sacramento Kings, Tyrese Haliburton is considered by many as one of the biggest steals of the recently-concluded NBA draft. That’s not the only reason the 6-foot-5 guard has been making waves, though, with the mean streets of Twitter apparently taking a liking to his stunning girlfriend.Twitter went crazy when they set eyes on Haliburton’s beau, as they realized that he wasn’t the only steal here (h/t Darelle Lincoln of Total Pro Sports):Tyrese Haliburton's girlfriend is a top 3 draft pick— joshiejoshy (@ageoftrauma) November 19, 2020I'd draft Haliburton's girlfriend #NBADraft— Damien (@TheDamienField) November 19, 2020Tyrese Haliburton's Girlfriend is a 20 out of 10 #NBADraft— Tony Oberstar (Goose) (@MNGoose612) November 19, 2020Residents of the city of Sacramento for landing Tyrese Haliburton's stunning girlfriend, and possibly getting a chance to see her beauty in public one day. NBA stars take to Twitter to express support for Klay Thompson after his latest leg injury

He got well wishes from LeBron James, Paul George, Draymond Green and Donovan Mitchell Nov 18, 2020 at 11:57 pm ET1 min read News of Klay Thompson's lower leg injury came out Wednesday and, as a result, an outpouring of support from the NBA community has been directed at the Warriors shooting guard. The specifics of the injury aren't known beyond the fact that it's something in his lower right leg.Beyond the kindness of fellow players and former teammates, perhaps the biggest motivating factor behind the supportive messages on social media is the fact that Thompson was very close to a triumphant return to the basketball court. He missed the entirety of the 2019-20 season while recovering from a torn ACL in his left knee he suffered in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. Had this setback not happened, he would have been preparing to playing professional basketball for the first time in about 17 months.Thompson's online supporters in the NBA world include notable names such as LeBron James, Paul George and Draymond Green. He also got a message from former teammate, and man who he won a championship with, Andrew Bogut. Prior to the torn ACL, Thompson was one of the NBA's most reliably durable players, never missing more than nine games in a season before last year. LOOK: Twitter hilariously roasts Chargers' Justin Herbert after new haircut

They had a field day with this one Nov 18, 2020 at 5:16 pm ET1 min read Getty Images The biggest news in the NFL on Wednesday was a notable loss that the Los Angeles Chargers recently suffered. Starting rookie quarterback Justin Herbert showed up to his media availability and the first thing reporters noticed was the lack of hair on his head. The quarterback said Wednesday that strength and conditioning coach John Lott was the man behind the clipper who turned Herbert's long locks into a buzz cut. Naturally, with such a sudden appearance change such as this, Twitter was in a frenzy over the haircut. It was reportedly his first haircut since 2017 or 2018. Herbert himself said he thought that Lott "did a good job," per the Athletic's Daniel Popper, but his teammate, right guard Trai Turner, wasn't as convinced. Those who threw their takes onto Twitter seemed to be leaning towards what Turner said than what Herbert thought. The first place some people went to was how much younger the 22-year-old looked. Then the jokes started flying about what kind of characters Herbert ended up looking like as a result of the buzzed head. The comparisons ranged from Toy Story to Star Wars. Then there was a question of how exactly the haircut went, which a couple accounts tried to provide answers for. Ted Cruz: Facebook, Twitter, Google collectively pose 'single greatest threat' to free speech in …

Facebook and Twitter executives Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey faced Senate questioning on Tuesday regarding political censorship, including interaction with Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Tex., who later warned FOX Business' "The Evening Edit" of the threat big tech poses to American freedom.“Today was a rough day for big tech,” he said. “Between Facebook, Twitter and then Google, which is really the 800-pound gorilla, we have enormous concentration of power. And I think they collectively pose the single greatest threat we have to free speech in this country.”Cruz explained that big tech companies have become increasingly more “brazen” in their censoring of content they disagree with. This especially applies to Twitter, he said, since a few weeks ago the platform used its power to ban the New York Post for 12 days.BLACKBURN: CANCEL CULTURE LEADING AMERICA 'STRAIGHT DOWN THE PATH' TO SOCIALISM“The newspaper with the fourth-leading circulation in the United States and big tech asserted the power to just silence them because they didn’t like what they were reporting,” he said. “I think it’s really dangerous.”Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testifies remotely during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Facebook and Twitter's actions around the closely contested election on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, in Washington.. (Bill Clark/Pool via AP)“I’m glad we had this hearing today,” he went on. “I’m going to continue leading the charge to bring accountability and protect free speech and stop the abuse of power from big tech.”GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO BY CLICKING HERECruz proposed potential solutions for putting an end to big tech censorship, including enforcing antitrust laws and repealing Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act – a special immunity from liability granted by Congress more than 20 years ago.At the time, Cruz explained, Congress believed big tech platforms would serve as neutral public forums and as a…

Isaiah Washington Slams Former 'Grey's Anatomy' Co-Star Katherine Heigl on Twitter

Former Grey's Anatomy star, Isaiah Washington, took to social media to call out his ex castmate, Katherine Heigl, on Monday. The two starred alongside each other in the early seasons of the ABC series.Washington, 57, posted a photo of Heigl, 41, in a tweet accusing the actress of declaring that he should never be allowed to speak publicly. "This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again," he wrote. "The world agreed with her proclamation back then and protested for my job and my head in 65 languages. I wish I was on Twitter in 2007, because I will NEVER stop exercising my free speech."A fan responded to Washington saying, "What speaks to your strength are the lessons you have learned and how you have moved on in a positive way." "I’ve learned that all money ain’t good money and no amount of money can replace your dignity and integrity," Washington responded to the user. "Some call it living by your principles."This woman once proclaimed that I should ‘never’ be allowed to speak publicly again. Trump claims he won the election; Twitter flags the tweet

President Trump flat-out claimed in an all-caps tweet late Sunday night that he won the election. The tweet was quickly flagged by Twitter, which said, "Official sources called this election differently." I WON THE ELECTION!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 16, 2020 The tweet culminated a day in which Mr. Trump worked to take back an apparent acknowledgement that Joe Biden had won the White House. Mr. Trump's earlier comments had given some critics and supporters hope that the White House was ready to begin working on a transition with Mr. Biden's team. Not so fast, Mr. Trump would soon make clear. Mr. Trump, without using Mr. Biden's name but referring to him, said "He won" as part of a tweet that made baseless claims about a "rigged" election. But as the president saw that his comments were being interpreted as his first public acknowledgment of a Biden victory, Mr. Trump quickly reversed course. "He only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA," Mr. Trump subsequently tweeted. "I concede NOTHING! We have a long way to go. This was a RIGGED ELECTION!" There was no widespread fraud in the 2020 election. In fact, election officials from both political parties stated publicly that the election went well, and international observers confirmed there were no serious irregularities. Mr. Trump's campaign has tried to mount legal challenges across the country, but many of the lawsuits have been thrown out and none has included any evidence that the outcome might be reversed. Mr. Biden defeated Mr. Trump by winning back a trio of battleground states: Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, and topped the 270 electoral vote threshold to clinch the presidency. Mr. Biden so far has 78.8 million votes, the most ever by a winning candidate, to Mr. Trump's 73.1 million, according to…
