The year 2022 was not that long ago, but Twitter (now X) has undergone significant changes since then. The "Let that sink in!" caption of Elon Musk storming into Twitter headquarters with a sink became a turning point for the social media platform, a meme, and a moment to remember. Many would debate whether it was for better or worse, but X, now has an artificial intelligence tool, Grok, integrated into it; some old and new users, many who fled to alternative platforms like Bluesky and Musk posts, just as much as back then. These days, the world's richest individual is seemingly heading into a new quest that very much resembles his acquisition of Twitter. "Should I buy Ryan Air and put someone whose actual name is Ryan in charge?" Musk wrote last week in response to a post by the Irish no-frills carrier, writing: "perhaps you need Wi-Fi @elonmusk?" Ryanair, which is recognized for its ubiquitous social media presence and posts that often look to be "making fun" of its own business model, reposted the conservative and right-wing leaning New York Post's report that was suggesting "X appears to suffer widespread outage across US, users report problems posting and

He threw four interceptions to a New England Patriots defense that was swarming from the start. Two of the interceptions came courtesy of cornerback Carlton Davis. Both safety Craig Woodson and cornerback Marcus Jones grabbed the other two picks. Jones' interception turned into a pick-six and points on the board for New England. The game had a sloppy first half of offensive football with the snow falling at Gillette Stadium. Along with Stroud's four interceptions, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye fumbled the ball three times with only one being lost. It was a battle of opportunistic defenses trying to give their offense an edge. More importantly, the Patriots have been one of the more underrated defensive teams throughout the postseason. In the first half, they proved to the NFL world that they are for real this season. They came into the game with the No. 3-ranked scoring defense and No. 6-ranked total defense in the league. It's a proud unit that has consistently stepped up and made plays in games. Here's what fans were saying about Stroud's first-half meltdown: Follow

Lowry’s closest pursuer, Nacho Elvira, was in the group behind, facing a 7-footer for birdie. At worst, it seemed, Lowry would find himself in a playoff. Instead, Lowry lost by two. Elvira would roll in that putt at the penultimate hole to tie Lowry at 10 under. He’d then watch up ahead as Lowry fell apart, tugging a 149-yard approach from the second cut into the left greenside bunker and then shockingly, blasting out through the fairway and into, fittingly, the creek. Lowry’s double bogey would drop him into a tie for third with Julien Gurrier, David Puig and Rory McIlroy, who used five straight birdies midway through his final round to briefly tie for the lead with four other names. Daniel Hillier’s round of the day, a 6-under 65 gave him solo second, a shot behind Elvira, who for the third time in the 38-year-old Spaniard’s DP World Tour career was a winner. “I always dream of my kids walking up to me with a win,” said Elvira, a father of two. “Anything that

On air, I sceptically set up a profile. In the succeeding months I learned its worth as a journalistic tool and proceeded to get addicted to its endless stream of breaking news, novelty and argument. Two weeks ago, I deactivated that profile. I hadn’t posted there in some time due to changes Elon Musk had made to the platform since 2022, but I would check in occasionally. I was, by this point, unsurprised by the racism, misogyny and homophobia on the platform but I was not expecting the huge number of non-consensual deep-faked porn images users were posting of any woman or child whose image could be found online. Twitter had, within years of its founding, re-engineered how global discourse worked. It was the place which helped foment the Arab Spring revolutions, where politicians and public figures made public announcements and where people went for a snapshot of current events. Within a year of Elon Musk’s purchase, it was a site riddled with bigotry where you

Grew up in Milwaukee in a basketball family, initially preferred gaming to hoops and learned to play in his father’s men’s league. Coming from a basketball family is part of the Duke profile. You don’t have to look too far. Cooper Flagg did too and on this year’s team we have Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Patrick Ngongba and Nikolas Khamenia. The Boozers are sons of Duke great Carlos Boozer, Ngongba’s father played at George Washington and his mother has coached in college for years, while Khamenia’s father was a GW teammate of Ngongba’s and his mother played too. His father is also a coach. Advertisement Knueppel’s parents were both outstanding players and the family focus on basketball is ongoing. In this clip with Bill Simmons, Knueppel talks about how playing in his father’s league was much better for his development than AAU ball. He got a chance to face off against older, smarter players who forced him to use his mind and to play a more mature style than he would have seen in the AAU circuit. Here are some
