GAINESVILLE, Fla. – March 8, 2026- The University of South Florida women's golf team finished tied for seventh at the Gator Invitational.  Tiphani Knight finished +4 overall which tied for 15th place overall. Cherry Marley remained steady, finishing tied for 26th. Emma Kim had a low third round of -1, assisting her finish at T-30. Twitter’s former CEO, Parag Agrawal, and former CFO, Ned Segal, have testified in court against the current owner of the microblogging site (known as X), Elon Musk. This comes as part of an investor lawsuit linked to Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the social media platform in 2022. The two executives appeared before a jury as investors alleged that Musk’s public statements about Twitter’s user base and bot accounts were intended to influence the company’s stock price during the takeover process. According to a report by Bloomberg, Agrawal and Segal rejected claims that they misled Musk about the composition of Twitter’s user base when he was negotiating the deal during the testimony. The executives, who were removed from their roles when Musk took control of the company, offered limited recollection of the weeks leading up to his attempt to pause or withdraw from the acquisition. WISE, Va. — The Indiana (Pa.) women's tennis team opened its Spring Break trip in dominant fashion with a 7-0 victory over University of Virginia's College at Wise. The Crimson Hawks claimed all three doubles matches and swept the six singles contests to complete the shutout. In doubles play, IUP secured two 6-4 victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, while Isabelle Oikawa Torres and Charliz Tabili cruised to a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles. Singles competition featured several strong performances for the Crimson Hawks. Ifigenia Kafka battled through a three-set match at No. 5 singles, winning the first set 6-2 before dropping the second 7-5 and closing out the match with a 10-8 tiebreak victory. LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State was held in check for most of Friday night's series opener at Presley Askew Field at Johnson Stadium, falling 10-2 to nationally-ranked UTSA.   The Roadrunners built an early cushion with two unearned runs in the second and a four‑run fourth, then added insurance with runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth.   The Aggies were limited to two hits through eight innings before finally breaking through in the ninth after a brief pause in the game due to a power outage. The 22-year-old joins Cincinatti for the remainder of the 2026 Major League Soccer season. Mrozek, a Poland youth international, has had two previous loan spells, with IF Brommapojkarna and Forest Green Rovers respectively. He arrived at the Reds' Academy from FC Wroclaw in August 2020 and has been in the matchday squad for the senior team on six occasions to date. The No. 10 Nebraska softball team grabbed two victories over the South Dakota State Jackrabbits by scores of 9-4 and 8-1 (five innings) on Thursday in the home opener at Bowlin Stadium. A five-run second inning powered Nebraska to an 8-0, walk-off, five-inning win over South Dakota State in the second game of the doubleheader on Thursday. With two wins today, NU moved to 16-5 on the season. Jordy Frahm and Kacie Hoffmann each notched two hits for the Husker offense, while Hannah Camenzind added two RBI. Ava Kuszak, Hoffmann and Bella Bacon each hit a home run. Bacon’s was the walk-off solo shot that ended the game in five innings. Cachalia says allegations of police officers taking bribes must be thoroughly investigated.
