After being down 3-0 to open up the match, the Pack (8-19, 4-13 MW) battled back to get within one at 4-3 off of a kill by Haylee Brown . Nevada tried to keep it close, trading points until the Broncos began to pull away. Boise State went on a 10-3 run to take control, and the Pack dropped the opening set, 25-12.  Nevada fell into an early hole in the second set as Boise State (18-10, 10-7 MW) scored the first four points. The Pack were forced to play from behind and were unable to get enough runs to close the gap, falling in the second, 25-11. Carter's attorneys say that Stinson's ex-husband, Jerome Schuman, identified her as the owner of a defamatory Twitter account. The singer claims the account was used to make "false, fabricated, defamatory and menacing statements" about him. Nick Carter wants to add another defendant to his defamation lawsuit. The Backstreet Boys musician is in the middle of a legal battle with multiple women accusing him of sexual assault: Shannon Ruth, who sued him in 2022 alleging he raped her on a tour bus in 2001, and Dream singer Melissa Schuman, who sued him in 2023 alleging he raped her in 2003. Carter denied the allegations, and sued both women in 2023 alleging defamation and extortion — and now, he's attempting to include Schuman's mother as an additional defendant. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – University of Portland Athletics posted a 93 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) per the latest data released by the NCAA, marking the 14th consecutive year that the University has posted a GSR higher than 90 percent. The report pulls graduation rates from student-athletes in the 2015-18 cohorts. The Pilots have 12 teams represented on the latest GSR report. All teams posted a GSR of at least 77, with six teams posting a perfect GSR of 100 – Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Women's Tennis, Women's Volleyball, Beach Volleyball and Men's Tennis. Those six programs also had a perfect GSR score in last year's report. GSR was created in 2002 in response to Division I college and university presidents who wanted data that more accurately reflected the mobility of college students beyond what the federal graduation rate measures. The federal rate counts any student who leaves a school as an academic failure, even if the student enrolls at another school. Also, the federal rate does not recognize students who enter schools as transfer students. The GSR formula removes from the rate student-athletes who leave school while academically eligible and includes student-athletes who transfer to a school after initially enrolling elsewhere.

Nick Carter asked a judge for permission to add the mother of his sexual assault accuser Melissa Schuman as a defendant to his lawsuit alleging an attempted shakedown against him, Us Weekly can exclusively report. On Thursday, November 13, Carter’s legal team revealed the plan to add Schuman’s mom, Leisha Stinson, to the suit seeking damages for defamation and extortion. The pop star’s team recently deposed Schuman’s dad, Jerome Schuman, who is already a defendant in the suit. During his deposition, Jerome testified that Stinson, his ex-wife and Melissa’s mom, ran an anonymous Twitter account that Carter believes was used as part of the extortion plot. The Backstreet Boys star said the Twitter account was used to disseminate “false, fabricated, defamatory and menacing statements” about him. Carter claimed Melissa’s mom or the entire family “actively concealed the true identity of the owner of the Twitter account.” “Then they used the foregoing sham account to defame Carter and pursue their extortive goals,” the motion read. Carter demanded that he be allowed to add Stinson as a defendant so that she could be “held accountable for the harm and damages that her illicit conduct has caused.” The judge has yet to rule.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Junior running back Jeremiyah Love continues his impressive 2025 season by adding another national honor to his resume today, named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award, which honors college football’s top running back, the fourth-oldest college football award in the nation which honors the nation’s top college football player.  This is Love’s third national semifinalist honor, also named a semifinalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year and the Maxwell Award. Notre Dame has had one Doak Walker finalist: TB Reggie Brooks (1992).  Love is part of a group of 10 semifinalists on the list.  This season, Love has posted 177 rushes for 1,135 yards and 14 touchdowns, adding 26 receptions for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
