FORT MYERS, Fla. – FGCU extended its best start to a season in program history Sunday with a 14-7 win over Stonehill College. For the Eagles, four home runs – including two by Jon Embury – allowed the Eagles to secure their second sweep in as many weeks. Embury once again showcased his power with two home runs as part of his 2-for-3 performance with two runs scored and four RBIs while also drawing a walk. Through seven games the Eagles' catcher is hitting an impressive .469 with five home runs, 12 runs scored and 14 RBIs. Of his 15 hits this season, 10 have been for extra bases. In all, FGCU (7-0) slugged out 14 runs on 13 hits while drawing nine walks with five extra-base hits. SAN JOSE, Calif.—Mikaela Pitts won her third vault title of the season, and the San José State women’s gymnastics team recorded a 196.100, the 16th highest team score in history, in a tri-meet with Air Force and UC Davis at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Pitts scored a 9.850 on vault to win the vault title for the second consecutive meet. Samantha Macasu led the bars team with a career-best 9.875. The beam team scored a 49.100, led by Sophie Patterson, who tied her career high with a 9.875. Ava Johnson anchored the floor team with a 9.875, as the Spartans scored a 49.075. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The South Carolina swimming and diving program wrapped up day five of the 2026 SEC Championships on Friday night inside the Allen Jones Aquatic Center. DAY FIVE Highlighting the Gamecocks performance was Pierre Largeron, who finished sixth overall with a personal best time of 4:11.88. To open the evening session, Delaney Franklin (2:10.34) and Molly Yacoviello ( 2:11.66) finished 12th and 20th, respectively, in the 200 breaststroke finals. Troy University has joined forces with TripShot to manage its fixed-route and on-demand transportation services on the Troy Campus. TripShot is an on-demand cloud-based software solution that will help TROY students travel the Troy community more efficiently while helping the University better manage its transportation resources. The Troy University Transportation Shuttle app went live on Feb. 6. “We are excited to partner with TripShot to provide our student riders with a safe and reliable campus transportation experience,” said Dean of Students Herbert Reeves. “We love the collaboration we get with TripShot and students will enjoy the greater ease of managing their transportation needs.” The transportation management solution offers a range of benefits such as real-time tracking of vehicles, improved route planning and enhanced safety measures. SAN ANTONIO – A brief Florida Atlantic (15-12, 7-7 AMER) run early in the second half proved to be enough to edge the visiting Owls past UTSA men’s basketball (5-21, 1-13 AMER) on Wednesday night at the Convocation Center. Despite a halftime lead, the Roadrunners offense stalled for too long in the second half and FAU managed enough of a cushion to hold on for the 60-52 final, despite numerous UTSA rallies.
