YouTube finally offers NFL Sunday Ticket month-to-month. It’s pricey | PCWorld

Image: Ben Patterson/Foundry YouTube has just announced its Sunday Ticket pricing for the upcoming NFL season, and along with the typical eye-watering subscription rates comes a long-awaited option—the ability to sign up for just a single month of gridiron. Warning, though: It’ll cost you.  According to a Reddit post from a YouTube staffer, a month-to-month option for NFL Sunday Ticket will arrive in “early September.” The plan will cost $85 a month for new subscribers, or $95/month with NFL RedZone included, while returning subscribers will pay $115 a month with a YouTube TV subscription, or $145 a month on a standalone basis (with NFL RedZone access boosting those prices to $125/month and $155/month respectively).  Unlike previous month-to-month payment NFL Sunday Ticket plans offered by YouTube, this new month-to-month option will let you cancel at any time, meaning you could sign up for just a single month if you wanted to. The 12-month installment plan can be had for as little as $23/month for new subscribers, but you can’t cancel it mid-season, so it’s really just an installment plan. While the new month-to-month option offers some welcome flexibility, the monthly rates aren’t cheap. Consider the $115 a month price for returning NFL

YouTube app coming ‘soon’ to Nintendo Switch 2 – The Times of India

YouTube has confirmed it is working with Nintendo to bring its video streaming app to the Switch 2 "soon," addressing one of the new console's notable omissions at launch. The announcement came via the official TeamYouTube account on X after users reported that the original Switch's YouTube app is incompatible with Nintendo's latest handheld. When Switch 2 owners attempt to open the transferred app, they receive an error message stating the software cannot start. "We're working with Nintendo to make YouTube available on the Switch 2 soon," the company posted in response to user inquiries. No specific timeline or additional details were provided about whether YouTube will update the existing app or create a Switch 2-specific version. The YouTube compatibility issue extends beyond a single app. Nintendo has previously confirmed that several popular streaming services from the original Switch don't work on the Switch 2, including Hulu, Crunchyroll, and Japan-based platforms Niconico and Abema. None of these services have announced updates for the new console. The situation mirrors the original Switch's launch experience, when YouTube took over a year and a half to arrive on the platform. The app finally debuted on the Switch eShop in November 2018, well after

YouTube Music is getting creative with its ad placement – Android Police

Sign in to your Android Police account Summary YouTube Music is testing static banner ads on the Now Playing screen for free users. The banner ad placement could irritate some users due to the shrinking of the album art and playback controls. This new ad format has not been widely rolled out to free users of the app. YouTube Music is among the best audio streaming services you can find today. While its Premium subscription comes bundled with plenty of benefits, a significant portion of listeners still rely on the free version of the app to get their podcasts, music, or other audio content. For a while now, YouTube Music has managed to monetize its free tier with skippable video ads in between tracks. We're now learning that the app may be testing a new static banner ad within the Now Playing screen. Related In a screenshot shared on Reddit by a YouTube Music user, we see the banner ad positioned between the album artwork and the song title. As a result, the album art is smaller, while the music controls also appear somewhat smaller to the eye. This space contains the standard elements of a banner ad, including the
