His video covering “election fraud allegations” against a new political party, Team Mirai, had been viewed over 360,000 times—more than 10 times the figure for his previous videos. Feeling a sense of accomplishment, he recalled thinking: “It’s getting this much traction. I should do more of this.” Unfortunately for Team Mirai, he did just that. Led by AI engineer Takahiro Anno, Team Mirai was formed in 2025 under such slogans as “Change politics with technology” and “Digital democracy.” It won its first Diet seat in the July 2025 Upper House election, fulfilling the requirements to be a national political party. BBC Scotland has commissioned four new short form comedy series, adding to its portfolio of established and successful digital-first scripted content, which includes award-winning dramas such as Float and Dog Days and its digital comedy strand Short Stuff. These commissions form part of BBC Scotland’s digital strategy which is designed to deliver distinctive Scottish content on platforms where audiences are increasingly choosing to watch. By commissioning formats that are accessible and shareable, BBC Scotland continues to evolve how it reaches younger and more diverse audiences. Earlier this year, the BBC announced its partnership with YouTube as part of the BBC’s value for all strategy, ensuring more BBC content is accessible to all audiences where they are. Brand suitability provider Zefr is trying to fix some of that fragmentation by using Model Context Protocol (MCP) as the plumbing that connects AI agents to advertiser data and tools, together with an Advertising Context Protocol (AdCP) layer on top that allows those agents to turn natural language requests into live campaigns. And now the jargon-free version: Advertisers can tell an AI agent what they want to run on YouTube in plain English, and the system figures out how to set up the campaign. On Thursday, Zefr launched Zain, an agentic hub that serves as an entry point to that setup. The hub integrates data across platforms, including a brand’s first-party data, Zefr’s contextual data and data collected from third-party providers. Through the AdCP integration, marketers can then push campaigns into social environments, including Meta and YouTube, without leaving the single workflow.
