The channel was apparently terminated due to a violation of YouTube’s terms of service. Oppo India has just launched its Reno 8 series and several other gadgets, offering a livestream on YouTube and other social media platforms.Unfortunately, the Oppo India YouTube channel seems to have been terminated in the middle of the livestream. A screenshot of the company’s YouTube channel shows that this termination was due to the channel “violating YouTube’s community guidelines.”A screenshot of the livestream at the time also points to a terms of service violation. Check it out below.Nevertheless, the company’s livestream continued on other platforms such as Twitter. It launched the Reno 8 Pro, standard Reno 8, Oppo Pad Air tablet, and TWS earbuds as part of the event. We’re guessing this is an accident on Google’s part, although it would be equally embarrassing if it turned out to be Oppo’s fault in the first place.

Nadine Zylstra, most recently YouTube’s global head of original programming, is joining Pinterest in the newly created role of global head of programming and originals. Zylstra reports to chief content officer Malik Ducard, formerly VP of content partnerships at YouTube, who joined Pinterest last fall. Zylstra stepped into the role leading YouTube Originals in February 2022, after Susanne Daniels left YouTube and the video giant largely shut down its scripted and unscripted originals division. Previously, Zylstra had been YouTube’s head of kids and learning originals; YouTube is continuing to develop programing that is part of its Black Voices and YouTube Kids funds. At Pinterest, Zylstra will oversee strategy and execution for Pinterest’s programming and originals content efforts. That will encompass building teams that work across various features and products to support creators and talent on the image-sharing and social media platform. While the first two tasks can be plausibly accomplished via video instruction (though not by me), the third might be harder to achieve. Or maybe it’s just a matter of finding the right YouTube channel. I watched lots of wine videos in search of credible sources and useful advice. Happily, I found channels that were truly worthwhile, educational and even amusing. I also found channels that true oenophiles would do well to avoid.
