MANILA -- Singer-songwriter Moira dela Torre has achieved another social media milestone as she hit 2 million subscribers on YouTube. Dela Torre, who started uploading videos on the popular video-sharing website in May 2010, now has 2.13 million subscribers. To date, the lyric video of dela Torre's hit "hugot" song "Paubaya" is still the most-watched video in her channel garnering over 41 million views. Her second most popular video is the "Paubaya" music video, featuring former couple Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia. Just last month, the music video became the top trending video on YouTube in the Philippines. Barretto and Garcia, who broke up last year, seemingly gave "closure" to their relationship in the music video, which is nearly 12 minutes long.  As of writing, the video which was released on Valentine's Day now has over 23 million views and million "likes." Donmar Warehouse will stream Assembly, a show that was originally meant to be a part of its 2020 season but was postponed by the pandemic. A blend of live performance, animation and sound, the piece will be streamed on YouTube from 7.30pm GMT on Saturday 20 March. Created by writer Nina Segal, director Joseph Hancock and the Donmar Local Company, Assembly explores how we can build towards a better future in a time of emergency. After rolling out a progressive web app for Chromebooks earlier this month, Google is now testing a new Library Tracks playlist in YouTube Music. The new playlist has started rolling out to a few users, and it gives them easy access to all the songs in their library.Reddit user Iordbrack recently spotted the new Library Tracks playlist in the YouTube Music app on Android. In a post on the matter, they explain that the playlist shows up in the playback history within the app settings after playing any song from the library. YouTube has started rolling out its new feature Shorts - it is a platform for short videos, shot in portrait orientation, and is an obvious attempt to curb TikTok and its growing influence online. Those in the United States have started receiving the feature, and the global rollout is expected soon. Currently, Shorts is still in Beta, so not all American users will get it after an update of their application. The company is likely doing some A/B testing, but given the fact YouTube has been working on Shorts for the past 12 months, the feature’s stable version should be right around the corner. YouTube’s Shorts were getting over 3.5 billion views while in early beta, so it is no wonder the short videos are now getting to more and more users.
